I just noticed a bright green one about a sixteenth of an inch below where it says "iPod" on the home screen. I made a 320x480 black picture to view on my iPod and found over ten more, though not as bright. I have tried both the stuck pixel fixer and pressure on the screen and neither methods have fixed a single one.

I'll be sending it in to Apple in the next week for repairs. Has anyone else had this many bad pixels in an iPod? I find it a bit silly that the screen quality is so poor on a $400 device. Everything else is great though.

I think its just that you're incredibly unlucky. I've had an iPod Touch 1g, with no dead pixels. Then, I got an iPod touch 2g and had it replaced once, and neither had dead pixels.
However, I'm pleased to see that you got one without any dead pixels.

Apple tends to do that a lot. When I bought my macbook I had to take it back three times due to several problems. The first two times they replaced it without complaints, but the third time the genius told me that that was the last time they will replace it. That pissed me off, so I told him that I wanted to talk to the manager. Kindly I explained my issue to the manager, and he told me that as long as I could prove that the machine has issues they were going to replace it as many times as it took for me to get a good machine. The genius apologized and I left the store with a machine that had no problems at all.:apple:

All iPt's have dead/stuck pixels. My iPhone seems perfect though, for some weird reason. If you search back I have a thread on the stuck pixel epidemic. My advice is to quit while you're ahead and stop now.

When my I got my iPod that had a dead pixel I took it to the Apple Store and replaced with a brand new one.
The new one didn't have any thing wrong with it.
