it looks good. if this was would u guys get it.... I think it's nice but i hope they stay with the current 3g model and just up the storage and add video recording. The current 16 gig i have really does get filled up fast.

yes. It is the new iPhone. I already have one. It is much better.

That's a lie!

I came to your house last night and broke it.

Now no one has it. No one! NOOOOO BODYYYYYYYYY!

The world must be sterilized of these ... these.... things! Abominations! Sacrelige! HERESY!!!!!!!!

... but seriously, the keyboard is weird and the camera is the size of Optimus Prime's eye.

And thick like ... some kind of construction material, usually in the shape of a rectangle. You know?? One of those.

I hope you weren't serious about "it it really the new.."

Becaue it's CLEARLY not.

I don't see a need for game control buttons.

Though I would totally love a slide out keyboard! But I know this will never happen.

(And I wouldn't mind if it was a bit thicker when they add a few more functions.)

Exactly.

Never going to happen. A physical keyboard would be Apple admitting that the touch keyboard does not work.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ugly as sin to me.

Nope. Never. Don't like a physical keyboard.

You like a software, not really there, keyboard more than the real thing? I can understand you not liking it because it's more flexible, but really? come on now... my mom brought home a G1 yesterday (she's on T-Mobile) I couldn't set that thing down. It's a work of art, I loved every minute with it.

I actually prefer the software keyboard of the iPhone. I find that I don't even look at my fingers anymore and just at what I am typing, my fingers know where the general area of every letter is. Because of the auto correct, I just need to get close to the letters and it works itself out. With a real keyboard, I would actually have to make sure to hit every key perfectly.

I much prefer the virtual keyboard, because it's dynamic. If phone keyboards could be like that of the Psion series 5 that would be fine, but when keyboard size is limited by the size of the phone itself, a dynamic software based keyboard is best. For me at least.

And for me as well. If I wanted a slider keyboard, I'd never had gone with the iPhone. That was one of the key features that appealed to me. Add a slider keyboard and I'll keep my relatively new 3G until it breaks.

honestly

i have no issues with my iphone 3g it's the perfect phone. well other than the fact that it doesn't have a video camera. I think what i am gonna do is get a 16 gig refurb online and jailbreak it. I really don't want to do it with my current phone.

I don't wanan mess it up...

Nope, those are two different phones...one's called an iPhone and it has no keyboard, the other one is probably the iSlide, and it has no screen.. you'd have to buy them separately, they would communicate via Bluetooth. You can even keep them in two different pockets or leave the iPhone at home and enjoy typing on the physical keyboard..

Why would you need an iPhone with this "iSlide"?

because it has a full REAL qwerty keypad. I really enjoy my iPhone, and I can sometimes type 70 wpm on it (I usually hover around 40 to 50 words) but I'd much rather have a slider with a full keyboard.

I was kidding in my first post because it seems like no one recalls what Steve Jobs said two years ago about physical keys/buttons. I understand there are people that adore big screens and keyboards but at that point just get a netbook. I don't think the iPhone has been a failure.

Nor do I, but I would kill for an iPhone in the form factor of a sidekick.

YES. I have it on record from Jesus Diaz that Steve Jobs appeared to him in a dream and told him that this would be the next iPhone. You get one for free for figuring it out.
