Hardly so, but even if, care to guess how many here on this forum are in that age group? I find it sad the OP trusts strangers over his own daughter despite the fact that the iPhone is the most fragile of all the phones out there.

I don't see one post or suggestion by the OP to show he trusts a stranger more than his daughter. He asked opinion about iPhone breakage. Just look at the pics. The truth is there. She does not take care of things. Even if the glass was in tact the entire metal band is scratched.

Take it to an apple store and just purchase a replacement for $149 or $199. Even if u pay the replacement cost, you will still be able to sell it for much more then that when the 5 is released.

Actually, well...that actually looks like it was run over by a car.

But my 3GS slipped from my hand last Halloween and the drop couldn't have been more than 3 feet (hand holding phone was down by my side about waist level). We were walking down the sidewalk and it was fairly dark so I don't know if the screen landed on a jagged edge of the sidewalk when it cracked or not but when I picked it up the thing didn't look much different from your daughters screen, no lie!

I couldn't believe it shattered like that!

I took it to the Apple store a few days later and explained what had happened but I guess they didn't believe me for whatever reason and told me I could pay $99 or they would put tape across the screen. Guess I wasn't one of the lucky ones because my stepfather had went to the same store a couple of months before that with his 4 and they so kindly handed him a new phone, and no, he had no Apple care, just was in the right time at the right place with the right genius.

That kind of pissed me off a little. Not the fact that I think anyone owes me something for my accident but just the fact that they kindly replace based on judgement I guess.

holy ****, this looks like north korea dropped a bomb on it

my iPhone 4 fell into an empty bathtub once and another time it fell of the table at the library and it had nothing more than a few scratches on the back and a rather dysfunctional home button (which seems to happen a lot on the iPhone 4 tho)

i eventually got it replaced for free from my provider's insurance for the dysfunctional home button

I sure hope you never wind up on a jury...

Also, daddy, next time keep your family's dirty laundry to yourself. You asked about breakage, yes, but you also decided to make your daughter look like an immature punk as well. I always blame the parents for the child's mistakes. I sure as hell never made any mistakes like that in my life, nor will I.

I wonder where she must have learned it from? (purposefully smash a pricey toy like that)

And please, spare us the whole " I just came here asking for breakage advice" bull. Your comments show us you have it out for your daughter. Poor girl. Be a father next time and you won't this issue pop up again. Leave that crap off of forums dedicated to tech, mkay?
