Bottom line is - this size enlargment proves that you cannot trust Apple. They are hypocritical. They say one thing and do another.

I still got a few years left in my iPhone5, but when they launch an iPhone7S I wish they have made a mini-model available.

One of the main factors I prefer iPhone has been because of its smaller size.

Mainly increased screen size is becoming popular because it's the only device (or at least the device used the most) by many for accessing the web and consuming media. If it's going to be your primary device, it makes sense to have the most optimal screen size.

Speak with your dollars if you feel this way. Don't buy Apple products...or get a 5S or 5C. You have an option, if you don't want it, then move on.

I believe the reference of Steve and needing to hold onto the one-handed use may have been appropriate for the market at that time. The Macintosh computer may have been appropriate for that time. But now, times are changing and customer desires are evolving. So the old one-handed use may still be highly desired by a lot of mobile phone users but the masses (market), is by far moving on to other ideas. Evolve and innovate to fit the future of falter to history.

Don't act like Apple invented big phones. They're the trend and Apple is appealing to the trend of what people want. Who knows how this will all evolve or how people will consume their media 5 years from now but when it comes to technology, nothing is forever.

People's minds have changed. It's not a big deal. Evolution isn't for everyone.

Well mine has not changed. And clearly, several other people in this forum also prefer the old size. You keep talking about others, but what about yourself? Has your mind changed?

To me there must be a clear distinction between tablet and phone.

More to appease Android users? I don't see it that way at all. Android users already have large phones with their own ecosystem. Bigger iPhones are more about taking advantage of what's a full fledged computer in the palm of your hand. There's only so much you can do on a tiny screen.

4.7 is hardly tiny. I still think if it wasn't for the popularity of Android phablets, Apple would have released just the 4.7" model. Nevertheless some people are opting for the 5.5" model for the better specs, not necessarily for the bigger screen.

And some people, like me, are opting for the Plus for the better specs AND the bigger screen.
