only have about 8GB left on my mini and thats with some stuff from itunes not being on it so i would LOVE a 128GB iPad...mini:D

Plus i hate using iCloud and Dropbox, i don't want to download something every time i need it!

I'm usually not around wifi and don't have unlimited data.

The cloud is not a solution.

128GB please.

I think there are enough of us around to justify it even if the price is high. I expect what will happen though is that I'll pick up the next gen (probably still crappy 64gb) mini and carry TWO iPads when I travel.

I have a 64gb iPhone 4S and I believe I only have about 20gb free on it. I keep a lot of music and use offline tracks from spotify a lot due to not having Internet at my house.

When I did own a 32gb ipad I had a lot of large apps on it, and liked to keep a lot of videos and what not.

So I could very much go for 128gb ipad, it might make some more developers think harder on more serious larger games.

The big selling point of the original iPod was 1000 songs in your pocket. Not 1000 songs on a server you can stream if you have access. The whole iDevice market is built around disconnecting my digital life from the beige box under my desk (or the Jonny-Ive-Designed machined aluminium one).

The problem is, mobile data is not up to the standard of fixed broadband connections. At home I have tens of megabits, always on, rock solid reliable and unlimited data. I can stream HD video all evening every day without thinking about it. For this situation, the cloud is great. The moment I walk out my front door, I have 3G (no LTE here yet) with occasionally patchy reception. I have a data cap. If I go somewhere away from an urban area, that might drop to an EDGE or GPRS. If I get on an aeroplane, it's gone (so if I want to watch a few TV shows on that long flight...). If I cross the boarder to another country, my generaous data allowance on my mobile device is replaced by an eyewateringly expensive data roaming charge.

At the moment, the cloud is still tethered to the broadband connection. Until that changes, I want my iDevice to contain my 1000 songs in my pocket, not on some server. As my 1000 songs have aquired a bunch of apps, games, videos and photos to go with them, they need a touch more storage capacity.

Yes Apple needs to add 128 GB option to iPad and iPod Touch

I am willing to pay for a 128 GB option for an iPad and iPod Touch and/or iPhone. My iTunes library is already over 75.5 GB, apps add another 8-10 GB. I can't store photos or other things because I am always close to filling it and have to pick and choose.

For people who have a lot of music - this has been needed for a few years now. I am sure some people are willing to pay more for more storage.

I am not always online and need access to the devices so iCloud, Dropbox, is not a solution for me. I prefer to be able to access the music and files offline where wi-fi is not available. I have been pushed to the limit for over 2 years with the iPod Touch maxed at 64 GB. Come on Apple...

I can fill 64GB with just apps, mostly paid games.

I can fill 128GB without blinking, when I load video for a long trip. There has never been enough space on any Apple iDevices for what I would truly like and want.

256GB would be comfortable. They'll appear one day, some day, but probably not for the next 4 years.

Apple should go to 128GB asap. Unfortunately for them, the cloud will suffer as will the control they gain from orchestrating and observing information flow.

I don't know. 64GB seems like an awful lot to fill. I have an iPad mini with 64GB and right now have over a 1000 songs, 2 rather long movies - each over 3 hours long and close to 2500 photos. I also have about 100 apps and all of the data associated with those. Numbers has several spreadsheets and Pages has multiple documents. The Kindle App has about 100 books downloaded and iBooks has about 25 books loaded. I still have over 35GB free. That is still more than half the space available. I can't imagine what else people would want to carry.

My music library on the iPad is not my entire music library, only the most listened to. I don't understand why people would want to carry their entire iTunes library with them. I have an iPod Classic for that

My iPhone, a 32GB still has over half of it's space available as well. It doesn't have the movies and most of the books.

I want a 128GB as well. Have both a 64GB iphone 5 and a 64GB iPad 3 and both I need to constantly delete stuff. The big budget games are huge, i.e. The World Ends with You is 2.4GB. Each of the GTA's are huge. Most gameloft games are over a gig. Newsstand magazines are gigantic as well. The problem for me, especially in terms of games is that apps are constantly on sale for 99 cents and I'm an impulse buyer. Once I start playing something (that does not support icloud), I don't want to delete it from my device as my progress will be lost. Apple needs a better mechanism to allow you to delete apps but not their content/saves.

I'm using 7gb of my 16gb ipad.

If you have wifi available it just isn't needed. the only cellular data i really do is email and maps - if i'm at home it's all wifi and streamed out of my NAS.

Depends how you use it I guess.... if i'm going on a trip i'll take the laptop anyway, and the ipad is only used whilst in transit... just pre-load a few things before i leave home.

Yeah. I've been wanting that for a while. I guess with iCloud available that's not going to be a priority now though.

My iPad without songs is about half full. With my podcasts it fills right up.

I've got a droid phone with a 64gig card so it's better then nothing but64gig is getting a bit limiting these days with retina apps

128Gb will suit people that want everything on their device, even stuff they wont access for months at a time. But it's a personal thing again. I think 64Gb is more than enough for my needs.

I'm just happy there's no 5th gen now (again, for purely selfish reasons).

No one needs more than 16GB. A couple of apps and 100 songs should be enough for everyone.

But just as you predicted Apple will never put out 128GB storage.

It's a great idea by Apple. If you are incapable of managing your media collection, you deserve to have your money removed by overpaying for storage, might as well go to Apple.

So we can assume that you have always chosen the minimum storage solution with any computing device you own.

LOL.
