Is this year Apple's messiest launch week roll out?

This is my first time participating in new apple products on launch week and most everyone here and people i know in real life are having issues with getting their phone or watch today.

Someone from experience, is this Apple's messiest launch week or were there others in the past that were worse?

EDIT: I am not an affected party. Just asking out of curiosity 😉

There was a big line outside Apple store today. Everyone has to stay in same long line whether you arrive on your pick up window slot or not. Took 50 minutes to check in. Rest of the process fast. It was my first in-store pickup and I was not bothered by it. Every year I needed to wait for ups driver which was frustrating.
