whats the difference between the ATT store and apple store when buying an iphone? I've seen lots of people saying "ugh i had to go to the att store" but I don't know why that's a bad thing.

The ATT by me is very condescending as other have said in the thread and elsewhere. I just prefer the Apple Store. I feel as thought everyone at the Apple Store is equally excited to be there and get the phone.

I personally never buy anything the day it comes out, I just don't need that kind of material gratification to make myself feel good and I also like to let other people work out the bugs, but I do realize that you are in need of a phone and therefore I would say that you should probably go the day of the release, but no real need to wait forever.

Well I called the repair place I am sending my current iPhone to once I get my unlocked crap LG Shine tomorrow, and they seem to think it will be a very simple, inexpensive fix. So if they are being honest, I may not need to wait in line after all.

And my girlfriend doesn't want the Pre. She just got the Samsung Rant recently, and her sister got the Palm Pre. They were in the Twin Cities, and she said there were only 15 people in line for the phone before the store opened. I wish the iPhone had that little hype behind it.

Well the new phone comes out the day after my birthday. I have that day off anyway because I am going to a baseball game later on in the day. And based off of the updates, there probably won't be much of a line. I am happy now.
