Just got my iSkin Carbon today. I'm quite happy with it. it looks fantastic, it fits good, and feels great in the hand. It slides out of my jeans with ease and doesn't pick up to much lint on the way.

I'm coming from the crappy silicon case by case mate - vroom. So anything that's not that, is good.

I took some pictures and uploaded them to Flickr for your viewing pleasure.

It looks very nice. I had the black Solo FX Special Edition with my 3G and it was a good case. This time around I went with the clear (Quartz) and it really did not do anything for me at all. I had it on for 5 minutes and then put back on my Griffin motif.

If I had known the black would look as good as your photos - looks much better than the Solo FX above - I would have gone with it.

Kind of unimpressed with my clear Solo. The volume buttons and hold button do not line up perfectly, and just looks kind of cheap overall, with the sides bulging out slightly due to the imperfect fit. The protection is nice though, as I think the material would protect it from a fall/bump. I'll hang onto it, but much prefer my Incase slider.

Did you remove it a few times and try to reposition it? It takes a little bit of work to get it to fit just perfectly usually. I removed mine about 2-3 times until I got all the buttons and stuff lined up.

It really nice, I just checked last night. I hope that the cases the arguments are good as they are, 3G and what is known for i Skin. It was my 3G and I liked it. Some people get angry when you put it away and on.it to disable the iPhone. If that is a 3G.

The case mold for the iP4 Solo should have included a built in recess for the power button...instead it is flush on the inside of the case. Because it is a nice tight fitting case, this flush cover design is causing the button to be constantly pushed down...a real problem due to the fact that the button protrudes from the phone. It is a great case...awesome feel and looks...but this major power button flaw is a killer. Sure if you stretch it out from time to time it seems to temporarily stop pushing the button down....but it eventually shifts back to cause the problem again. A shame really....I love the case, but it is flawed by this design oversight...or manufacturing error. A simple indented recess inside the case would have made for the allowance of the protruding power button. iSkin should acknowledge this flaw...correct it...and send new cases to thier faithfull customers.

Rec'd my revo4 today. This is my first iskin case and I like it. I love the clear case that clips to the front to protect it when not in use and how it clips in the back when you want to use your phone. I can finally throw my phone in my purse without fear that it will get scratched even with my SGP on it.

I now have a cm barely there and a revo4. I am awaiting my freebie case (Belkin shield micra) from Apple and then I think that's it. It get's expensive outfitting your phone, lol.

They did include the free screen protector they promised in their email for being a week late in shipping.

Wow...iSkin is finally coming around to admitting that they have a design problem with their Solo for the iPhone 4. Here is the email I just received from them:

Dear Chris,

We want to make sure you’re getting an optimal experience protecting your iPhone 4 and so we’d like to send a replacement solo for every solo case you’re having an issue with. Please utilize our online form in order to fulfill the number of solo cases you’ll need replaced (and in what color). We anticipate to start shipping these out early September.

Inamood, could you post some pictures? Is taking the cover on and off a pretty quick snap? I'm just wondering about the delay in answering a call.

With any luck mine will be waiting for me when I get home today...

But in the meantime I can tell you that when I used the Revo 2 for my 3G I would leave the screen protector on the back most of the time or just leave it off entirely...much easier to use. I would put the screen protector on the front if I'm listening to music while working in the yard, using golfshot GPS when raining, or just to transport when travelling.

Problem with the Revo 2 is the curved back of the 3G/3GS phone made it pop off all the time so I actually stopped using it...the flat back of the IP4 should make daily use of the screen protector alot more practical.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread. I ordered an iSkin Solo on the first day they were available. Mine fit fairly well, but I had some minor problems with the wake/sleep button - it was a bit too sensitive and the edging in front of the button could activate it. Not actually a dealbreaker for me, and it sounds like some people had much bigger problems than me - mine definitely did have an area cut out on the inside to accommodate that button.

But, since it wasn't a perfect fit, I went ahead and emailed customer service, figuring if there's a corrected design that's the one I'd want. My new case arrived yesterday.

This new case is actually different in several subtle ways. First off, the wake/sleep button is much more precise now. It is actually slightly difficult to press in comparison to the volume buttons. Pressing directly on it, especially with a fingernail, works perfectly. I highly doubt I could inadvertantly press it any more - especially nice when the phone is in landscape mode.

A couple other minor things I noticed: The sides of the case feel slightly different. It is slightly less grainy/grippy and more smooth feeling. It doesn't feel slippery and I don't think I'll drop the phone more or anything, but it is different. I also noticed that the flaps that hold the case in place by curving around the edges and resting on the screen are slightly different - more beveled/tapered to their edges. I'm guessing this is to make it slightly easier to put on and take off the case, but it looks a little nicer than my original case.

Everything else is great. It's a nice, snug fit, the volume buttons work great, and I have no problems with my PS screen protector. I'm rather happy with this simple case.

Yes it's a quick snap. Though it looks like if you snap the cover to the back, it won't sit flush with the case. I'll post some high quality images when I can.
It feels great. It has the same quality of past generations.

I wish they made a version of the Revo with TPU instead of Silicon. I can't stand silicon >.> but the whole glass on front seems quite interesting.

It's hard plastic not glass. And TPU is not a shock absorbing material so that is why you've got the less expensive Solo. The Revo4 is a great protector.

Eh I suppose so. But it would be cool for a case to be TPU and have a screen protector attachment thing :D

Got my iskin replacements today....I think they are worse than the originals to be honest. The sides are not grippy anymore and you cannot even press the sleep/wake button at all unless you put some force into it. O well these are never getting used, going back to the bumper.
