Wiggidy would you say that you can recommend this cover, over say the Revo2? I just got a 3G and my last phone (a 1st gen iPhone) had an Agent18 ClearShield for iPhone 3G that I wasn't all that happy with since it allowed dirt in and scratched the iPhone by just being put on. I should have probably gotten the Agent 18 Eco iPhone Shield which is similar to the Solo but maybe, shutter to think, possibly better than the Solo but it's only for 1st gens.

So in the end I am looking for a case that won't scratch my phone just being put on, not make the phone bulky and looks good doing it.

So you see how I am debating here.? It's between these two.

1. iSkin's Solo
2. iSkin's Revo2

What would you or anyone else here think overall. Need help here.

The iSkin revo2 is a great case, one of my friends has one, however they add too much bulk for me. I really like the way the iSkin solo fits, however, it gets dust under the edges very badly (from places I didn't even know were dusty) which bothers me. While the inside of the case itself couldn't scratch the iPhone, perhaps dust in the case could. Time will tell, maybe after some wear it won't be such a dust magnet.

Now I wonder how bulky is the revo2? Darn, is the Solo tight or flimsy?

Hey everyone long time lurker thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I just got my Solo today "White with the Revo Clip". Gotta say I'm pretty impressed so far! The case itself is very tight there is no sag whatsoever and when put into the Revo clip this thing does not budge an inch!

The case is tacky and cant really comment on dust yet but I do think with a little wear and tear it will be great. I needed a case that's shock absorbent, needed a belt clip but not all the time, and to just protect the phone overall. This case does that and very well.

I can agree the sleep/wake button is mushy but still works with no problems at all. I haven't tried the screen protectors yet because I currently have on a Power Support Crystal so I don't really have a need for theirs that they include in the package. On a side note the revo clip locks like a beast, its very well made and the clip alone was worth the purchase.

I have a Rebel from Switcheasy in Black that just didn't do it for me. Sorry for the long winded response but there is not a whole lot of reviews out there for it. I'm off tomorrow so if you have questions fire away and I will try my best tto post some pics when I can.

Do you think you could post pics? White's the color I was thinking of getting. Also do you know how this compares to the slider?

Meow?? I cant compare it to the slider never tried it. I can only compare it to the Capsule Rebel which I do have and is now sitting on the sidelines since I got my Solo today. One thing I forgot to mention is that it is not a fancy looking case like the Rebel for example. It covers the phone very well, no bezel showing at all and the feel is very good in your hand kinda tacky.

I'll to post some pics tomorrow of the white and some with the Revo clip. I am very happy with this product but I was be cautious if your looking for the hottest looking case out there it may not be for you. But then again another colour could make the diff.

ZOMG my camera works!

Aaaaaaannnnd the reason I bought this thing in the first place:

I can finally keep my phone in the cupholder while I drive again!

I'm not a photo whore, I swear. Click on any of those to open full size, btw. Anyway, I've notice that it is getting less and less crap under the edge as time goes on, but here are some pics of what I keep finding:

On the last two pics is that a Stcky film around the edges or just light dust/dirt?

I'm impressed. Would love to see a few more colors, especially white. The case actually seems pretty snug.

I'm interested in seeing this in person. The last few times I've checked out cases at some stores, they had no problem letting me open up the box and trying out the skin.

I did this with the Revo2 and loved it. But didn't have the $40 or whatever it was for it. But now with the Solo, I think this could be the one I get.

Couple questions about this case:

1) Does it slide out of the pocket easy?

2) Is it a lint catcher?

3) Do you think this case would fit with a best skin ever on the back of my phone?

Thanks

If anybody is still on the fence with this case, I figured I would post what I posted on another forum about this case. :D

I also recently got this case, and so far I really like it. Previously I had the iSkin revo for my First Generation iPhone, while I liked the protection it offered, I hated the bulk and rubbery feel, which is why I did not get the revo2 for my iPhone 3G. However when I saw the Solo, I instantly bought one. I have purchased iSkin products for my iPhone and iPods since the first iPod in the early part of this century, so getting this was a no brainer.

As for how it feels, I loved how the naked iPhone felt in my hand (Wow, that sounded bad.) Either way, I liked the plastic, but the plastic did not like being exposed, eg, got scratched, so I thought this case would give the same feel without changing the phone too much. While it does feel a tad bit more rubbery, it is very slick compared to most silicon cases I have had in the past.I have had little problems with it sticking in my pocket, including tight jean pockets, it doesn't "slide" the way the iPhone does, but it also doesn't stick the way most cases do. It feels great in your hand and doesn't add a significant amount of bulk, however, it does add enough to make it not fit in most docks deigned for it, however a bare dock "No Insert" works perfectly. Holding it feels very much like holding the phone itself. I haven't used any other cases so I can't really "Compare" but this is the first case I have seen that attempts to copy the iPhones curves and feel. The only issue I have is that the holes don't seem to line up well with the ports and camera. I'm thinking about calling the company about it, but its more or an look thing than function thing.

First Two are what I mean when I say the cutouts are not centered. The other two are the case, the last one shows how the case really seems to catch the original look of the iPhone.

Now that I have had it for a few months (And even dropped my phone on the sidewalk.) I can say this is by far the best case I have ever had. It works very well, does what it should. I have yet to get any "New" scratches on my phone, and when I dropped it, it scuffed up the case, but not the phone, although, since the phone is plastic and the case doesn't add much shock protection, I could see how the case could just flat out crack. As far as the ports not being lined up, still bugs me, but oh well. SOme people have mentioned that dust gets in the case, and that is true, I just take it out and clean it every so often. Only problem I have, I need a "Home Button" protector, its the only thing that is getting scratched.

Solo compared to Colors?

Could someone compare the iskin solo to the switcheasy colors? How do they compare in terms of protection, especially drops? And how does the "feel" compare, specifically the thinness and the "grippiness" (as opposed to slick/sliding naked phone)? Thx!
