Except there's ALWAYS something for the others to "pick on" you about, or find some way to (re)create a clique/class or otherwise means of exclusion. Hair, fingernails, the-way-you-carry-your-books/bag, shoes, socks, wrinkles in your shirt... claiming "uniforms prevent cliques/class" is utter crap spewed by those WHO ARE IN SAID CLIQUE/CLASS. Ask "the others" what they think, who feel otherwise belittled/forced into attire that fits them poorly, or makes them uncomfortable.Everyone hates the idea of uniforms until they try them. I attended a school with uniforms and it was transformative — the uniforms gave us a sense of shared identity, greatly reduced cliques and class distinctions, and made mornings super easy. I could see uniforms working really well in the right corporate environment.
I'll wait. I got all day.
