iPhone 12 Pro Issue with text size

I’ve just got a new iPhone 12 Pro.
Despite moving the text size smaller it seems that all my apps and websites are showing text much bigger than usual.
I have it on standard and not zoom but everything seems so big. When I make the text smaller the settings text etc is smaller but as soon as I then go to apps it is big again. Can anyone suggest anything?

I believe the scaling on the 12 Pro is different than the 11 Pro. Some apps may need updating by their developers. Just guessing from what I’ve heard.

Correct, the scaling is different, there's another thread which goes in to this in a little detail,

source: Serious party foul! This could come as a shocker for people moving from 11 non-pro to a 12 6.1" variant for people who have come to appreciate more perceived 'screen real estate' I really wonder what the thinking was behind this
