Ever since upgrading to 11.2 my WIFI Calling has not been working right. I have rebooted the phone, turned WIFI Calling off and then on and nothing seems to do the trick. Maybe a hiccup in the Sprint Network or maybe not.

I don’t have Sprint myself but my parents do. Coincidentally my dad called me an hour ago and asked if I had any issues after updating to 11.2; he said that he doesn’t have the WiFi text in the top status bar like he always has before the update. He’s tried rebooting, turning off WiFi calling and re-enabling it, but no luck. I’m on AT&T and WiFi calling is working fine, might be an issue with Sprint as you mentioned.

It would have to be an issue with the carrier.

Update: First my dad called Sprint and the rep on the phone told him that with iOS 11.2, Apple removed the WiFi text label from the status bar and as long as you see the WiFi icon, you're on WiFi calling. Yes, I laughed too. So my dad then called Apple and the tech had him reset the network settings on his iPhone. After he reconnected to and logged into his home WiFi network, the WiFi text reappeared. All good now!

But doing that will erase all my saved passwords and wifi networks correct? If so I cant do that.

I turned on airplane mode and it reappeared but then vanished again after a few minutes so I am not sure what the problem is.

Same thing is happening to my GF who’s on Sprint as well. Did a clean update to 11.2 but couldn’t seem to get her WiFi callling to work.

Eventually I just downgraded her back to 11.1.2 and the Sprint wifi calling started working again. Go figure

I’m also having issues with Wi-Fi calling on iOS 11.2. I’m on Sprint, I literally just made this account. I submitted a bug report to Apple, I’m about to contact Sprint. I don’t have service where I live so Wi-Fi calling is the only option for me. It’s really irritating.

I hope Apple fixes it soon.

I also have the same issue, I called Sprint and they did all the basic troubleshooting to reset network setting, switch to airplane mode, etc but it never worked.
I called Apple they did the same trouble shooting along with that they also did Reset all settings, however that also did not help. At last apple has created a ticket and they said they have got couple of similar issues and they will give a solution in 72 hours. Also there is now workaround for this issue.

Surprisingly this morning I got wi-fi calling for a 15 mins and later it vanished again. Not sure how this happend.

If any one have found any solution please let me know.

The issue is iOS 11.2.

Then someone needs to notify Sprint of this bug.

The thing is I think it is the iOS 11.2 final release. I had iOS 11.2 since the beta stages and I believe most of the beta stages had Sprint 31.0 built in it but the issue only started since the final build so its hard to say who’s at fault of it not working. It could Sprint and/or Apple.

I called Apple and ended up talking to a senior advisor who had the same iPhone 7 that I had, and used Sprint, but had not upgraded to 11.2 yet. He did that while we were troubleshooting my phone and guess what? In his words, "well, it broke my wifi calling!" Needless to say he submitted a high priority ticket and expects a new version of 11.2 to resolve this issue.

I believe this to be an Apple issue and not Sprint. I am having the same intermittent issue with my phone where Sprint Wi-Fi calling may be displayed for just a few minutes then disappear. Because of this, I have not upgraded my wife's iPhone to 11.2 yet since her's still shows wi-fi calling and she has 11.1.2.

WiFi calling works for me on Verizon - but we too got a carrier update and I saw a thread today about a user (on Verizon) having problems calling his favorites ever since he got the update. Kinda sad.

Please report it as I need my WIFI Calling back.
