It has shown red signs for all stores in nyc for the Stainless Steel model and it was simply incorrect and misleading, I’ve used the site in previous years and it always aided in securing a reservation but not this year. I tested it out by checking out the grand central Apple store in nyc in person 15 minutes ago and while istocknow showed they had no stock of the gold SS Model(I’m not looking for that model but I used it for testing purposes on istocknow), the store actually had it in stock.

Pretty sure it uses apples site to check inventory. Since apples site didn’t allow for store pickup today it couldn’t check inventory. Not really istocks fault.

Can we expect istocknow to provide inventory for tomorrow?

Depends on if Apple decides to stop sucking and communicates availability online.
This. You are complaining at a site that has zero control. From reading other threads, this is a typical Apple move to disable that. Probably to prevent situations like this.

It usually starts showing inventory a day or two after launch. As the other posters have said, Apple doesn’t list anything as being available for walk-ins on launch day, so that’s what iStockNow sees.

well it is now 7:40am easter and istocknow is still inactive and pickup is not available on apple's website for any watch.

Apple has marked both of my 10/5 - 10/12 delivery date watches as "preparing to ship," so I can't cancel them and pickup in store now that istocknow is showing inventory.

UPS shows Estimated Delivery: Thursday, 09/27/2018, so I guess I can wait a few days instead of checking for stock now.

Apple Stores are now showing availability for pickup. I just ordered it and will be picking it up today.

I set up notifications and got a message this morning that they had one and I ordered it and I’m picking it up today

I'm mind-blown at how quickly things went out of stock again. Thanks iStockNow.
