It smells like urine

ask if u can see and smell is matress if theres pee then call the police lol jking but see if hes a bed wetter at his age. Also serisouly if it is pee anywhere burn it all of that kills the smell. there is a counter action of urine it cancels the smell it costs 50 dolars but it gets ride of urine and bad smells and converts the to clean air but i dont think ill tell u just yet lol let u suffer some more lol can he see u reading this, i think u know when hes about to kill u form behind . When u smell him closer

OR something like that..even if it only covers up the smell..some of them smell really good, so pick a type you like and its a double kill. You cover up your roommates smell, and get a great scented dorm!

He was pretty oblivious to the smell when I talked to him about it a second ago. I think it's his normal BO. I'm going to look into getting a strong freshener but I have the feeling that it would only make things worse.
alright what im about to tell u is dangerous but it will turn Bo. Urine and othe rbad smells into clean air .
Buy a carpet cleaner the kidn with water bucket in it and shoots water.
Then you buy soem Febreeze. Gladd Plugins, several liquid deoderants and then soem shampoo miz it all into a liquid then you put in caprent cleanre bucket you that the capretn cleaner and get a vaccum cleaner thing its like trianglur and then turn it on it willl shot the liquid u made into the air but then u have a small fan near the nozle where the stuff comes out this liquid is becomnig an air anti biotical smelling which litterally gets rid of the bad smells and turns them into clean air its basically a filter so not only will u have no more smell but u have clean air not stupid frooly fake smelling mask. I say its dangerous cause soem of these chemicals mixed will make amonia and coul dpossibly get u very sick so watch which ones u pickl bu tthe oesn i recommended are fine.
If this doesnt work u probably did it wrong or nothing will work cause i do this alot in my dorm room i got a smell y kid too

To the OP. When you had this conversation with him, what was the exact wording of it? He may have been embarrassed so he acted oblivious.

Seriously, talk with him about it. It's tough love, but it's the mature thing to do. You could wave at a dorm student named Gene like, "Hi Gene", and naturally segue in to "speaking of hygiene....."
I don't know how foul exactly the odor is, but it isn't out of the question for a dead rodent to be in the wall near his bed or under his bed or something like that? That's a tough odor to put up with.
Is it him? His clothes? Or just all round pervasive smell in the room? Could it be the room - and he bought an air freshener to get round it? Perhaps he's posting to another forum saying that you stink?
You might not want a freshener as opposed to a neutraliser, but it probably wouldn't hurt. Get one that plugs so that it sprays regularly...
Might be worth giving the room a good clean including vacuuming with a deodorising powder or hiring a carpet shampooer.

I would really meet with an RA or RC....they are trained in these situations.
You might even say that you really just cannot live in that room, and make them move you to an overflow room (our college used to convert some study rooms in the dorm to overflow rooms).

If you don't mind the smell of smoke, and the fire alarms won't go off, light a few matches. That usually neutralizes a few smells. For awhile, anyways. Maybe a few hours. Or try one of those scented plug-ins?

Buy or make the biggest powerstrip you can and plug glade plugins. Then put it under his bed when he isn't looking.

I don't think there is any reason to get him kicked out of the school. All you need to do is have a serious talk with him about it. I know this is difficult, but we are talking about your health here.
