It was nice being JB'en again but I had to put my 4S back to stock

Mine was doing the Same thing. It didn't start untill I installed sbsettings ... Once I removed it , I havnt had any problems.

I have to disagree with people who are blaming Winterboard (sorry AppleJuiced). I've not had problems with WB since 3.x days. I don't install crazy themes, but I use WB to put my signal bars back to pre-4.0.1 form and my jailbreak is perfectly stable.

1) I'm finding it to be the opposite. Granted, it all depends on what you install. But I've experienced more bugs IMO here and there then in the past. The most annoying one is when Springboard won't recognize that you've quit an app, and that app will replace the SpringBoard. The white icons get annoying too. Also having to respring about once a day.

2) I think people just have it stuck in their head that Winterboard isn't good, without ever actually having used it. I've never had any issue with Winterboard

I decided to JB my phone again. this time I've only installed SBsettings and Pandora skip. so far so good. no crashes in two days.

so I guess the five icon dock must have been the culprit?

I have sbs, pandora hack, and 5 icon dock on both of my 4S's and I don't have any crashes and those were installed when the JB came Out.
 
Not a single boot to safe mode or crash. Very happy with this 4S 5.0.1 jailbreak. My iP4 on 4.3.3 would crash/reboot once a day.

I have nearly all the same Cydia apps installed on 4S (and then some), except Tlert and Winterboard.

I really can't say if Winterboard is problematic. My crashes on iP4 were probably more related to /not/ setting up as "new" through many upgrades/re-jailbreaks. However, the forum is full of threads blaming Winterboard.

Jailbroke the first day it came out and turned my phone off after a while and it wouldn't turn back on so I just factory reset it more or less.

Next day decided I would give it another shot and since then it's been one of the greatest things I've ever done in my life, so happy with my iPhone right now! :D
