This is my 7th 3rd gen iPad and I've finally found one that's perfect. The previous iPads all had green/pink hue issues and this one has none of that! I found that this one has the worst backlight amongst the previous 6 but that's something that I've already forgotten about. This post is to show everyone my delight on finding a beautiful iPad and to tell those who are in my position a few days ago to not give up! I'm ready to move on from this frustrating experience and enjoy the new iPad. :)

I wish I could same the same for my 4th iPad 3. Just picked it up about an hour ago and it's going back tomorrow.

This one has a blue blotch to the left of the home button. If you press the screen (or the back of the ipad) any place within 3 inches of that spot it gives a jello effect to the screen. Similar to pressing on an LCD very hard where it would look like a finger painting type of distortion. Mind you, just holding the iPad in that area causes it to happen. It's as if it was put together to tightly, or something is causing pressure in that area. There is also serious light bleed there. I can deal with a little light bleed but this thing is a mess.

Really disappointed with this crap already.

But anyway. Congrats to you!

I'd suggest that since you finally found the "Perfect" iPad, that you put in a Plexiglass box to preserve it and only look it from afar.

What?! You returned 6 iPads? There must be something wrong with you. You're not supposed to look at the screen closely. There's nothing wrong with iPad screens. Just accept it because they're mass produced you know. You should be on meds for OCD.

I'm kidding of course... just preparing you for the fanboy replies. LOL.

Glad you got a good one finally! :)

By the 6th one I was so disgusted. How can apple mess this up so badly? But I gave it another go and found a really good one. Try buying it from different stores that have the iPad. First 3 I bought from best buy, 2 from apple, and 2 from micro center. And all of them were at least 20 miles from my place so imagine my frustration going back to the stores.

Lol you really got me there. I swear people here and at the stores think I'm crazy when talking about this stuff but it's definately a real problem.

Did anybody get lucky on the first one? I thought Apple makes perfection.

As of right now I did....but....

I have not looked for backlight bleed, dead pixels....

I do know my screen is white, but I am color blind...

Wirelessly posted

Imaging me, which I purchased iPad on eBay, if had same problems ? I can't bring it back over continents.

Purchased on eBay all apple products btw, expect iMac which bought locally.

If u are interested for the reason is because in Europe apple products are 30-50 % more costly compared to US.

Cool, what build week and month is it?, just wondering if apple might have now sorted out the manufacturing process or something?, and perhaps now the newly built ones have better screens?

+ majority of people. There are just a few insane vocal ones who have to go through 15 to get a "perfect" one

I don't know, when I first bought my iPad I though I wouldn't get one with a screen problem but I did... 6 times in a row. And they were all noticeable, not subtle at all. How can this be? I'm POSITIVE there are many out there that 1) have gone through this exactly experience as I have or 2) are not informed of it and haven't noticed it. I hope people know about this so they can get their money's worth.
