hey. you think you could switch out my d2h for one of those x's? they look similar... hehe

I was actually freaking stunned when the client said they had purchased a block of these for this project. I mean, they really could have gone with less, but again, not my money.

I downloaded the 267-page manual this morning. I'm not going to be doing a lot of shooting, but will be required to step in when necessary, so I gotta learn this thing, Canon freak or not. I guess it will be good experience to have time with both platforms.

Hey iGary,

Sure you don't want to hold out till the Power Mac Intel?? :D

I knew you would order a supadupa PPC Mac before the line was drawn.... ;)

Many congrats, and especially on the twins! Two 20" beauties!
Have fun! :)

I must admit, I want to get the top notch PPC Mac too. I'm gonna wait until we find out if either the 970 MP will find its way inside a Mac, or that somehow.... somehow.... we still can look forward to a Dual 3.0 GHz Mac....

Thanks! :D

It's been built, but it's been in "Preparing for shipment" for a day now.

Hoefully by the end of the week.

Somebody pass me the Kleenex. My eyes are welling up with tears of joy to this new addition in your life. She will bring you many years of happiness.

Gary, I implore you to bring up the young tyke with the best in mind for the future. Please let me recommend a few day care institutions that will rear your child properly when you are away.

First, the Math Emporium specializes in networking and training newborns in the manner of simple mathematics. I am one of the caretakers who reinforce the honor it is to be linked to the other 555 iMac G5s. Granted, your DP G5 will be different, there is hope for a revolutionary among the ranks of minions!

However, if you're looking for something advanced, may I suggest the Terascale Facility? Eleven hundred dual processor Xserve G5s churn away at intense calculations that are truly demanding. The strongest of the strong excel in this program and are channelled from the group into tiny clusters for the elite applications. There is no better company for your prime, little DP G5 than these Xserves. But I will warn you that they grant no leniency.

Make a wise choice, Gary; this is for your child's future!

I bet you had been waiting years to use that line ;)
 Nope. Just numerous page refreshes. You got to get the timing of the post just right, or else the comedic effect doesn't work.

Shipped!

Here tomorrow.

Excellent! Congrats, iGary. I know, too, how it feels to be waiting on a mac shipment. Although it seems you were smarter than I was by getting fast delivery. I accidentally ordered ground delivery and waited 6 days while my new Albook was trucked from the west coast to the east. DOH!

Congrats on your new baby.

My new infant arrived today but it has a weird growth (P4) that I will have to get checked out. Currently posting from it now to prove the strange appendage doesn't actually make anything really that different.

And that is all I can say so don't ask questions. :p

So, are you going to take a million pics of your new baby? Please share that setup with us...

BTW, I'll gladly babysit!:D

On a side note, I'm very interested in becoming a professional photographer. What route did you take?
