3 weeks with my Orange 17 Pro Max. Very happy with it. Love the colour too. Mum got a 17 Sage 4 days ago. The 17 too is a great iPhone with all the upgrades this year.

I have been very happy with my Air. I had 17 Pro and Air for about a week or so, trying out both. In the end, 17 Pro went back to Apple.

I preordered my Air and have used this iPhone as my main phone once I took delivery of it. During the first week, I was using the new iPhone along my 15 Pro Max. Ended up loving the new Air and have since replaced my 15 Pro Max. For me the Air just feels right and has a premium feel to it.

Went from a 17 Pro Max from a 13 Pro Max and I’ve been very happy with the upgrade:
  • Finally have USB-C across all devices
  • Increased screen brightness of 3000 nits is really helpful for me outdoors
  • Huge battery size not just for the present, but great long term so as it ages the phone will still have great battery life
  • Action button is very convenient
  • Rounded edges are much nicer to hold
  • Aluminum frame helps to dissipate heat but also doesn’t show fingerprints
  • Vapor chamber to help spread out the heat for better performance, less screen dimming, and less battery wear over time
  • 80% charge limit to help preserve battery health long term
  • Much longer zoom capabilities
  • Improved 48mp sensors for better photos and videos
  • Action mode recording
  • Cool portrait / landscape selfie options
  • A19 is blazing fast with years more software support
  • 12gb RAM for not just less app refreshing now but also great performance long term to handle any future iOS updates
  • Dynamic Island features such as dimming down the flashlight, seeing my rest time in between workout sets while in another app, AppleTV remote always a click away, etc
  • Will be able to handle future Siri upgrade and other AI features Apple brings
  • Satellite communication is appreciated in case I ever have a car issues when driving to my parents who live in another state and I go through certain dead zones of no cell coverage on the way
  • Crash detection is appreciated as well in case I’m ever in a bad car crash and either incapacitated or can’t reach my phone
The main thing when I upgrade is that I want a phone that isn’t just fantastic now, but one that has enough hardware headspace to still be great for me 5+ years down the line. The 13 Pro Max was awesome at the time and I could have kept it a lot longer, but I think the 17 Pro Max was a perfect year to upgrade. The A19, 12gb RAM, better cooling, 48mp cameras, and 5088 mAh battery should make it a fantastic phone for a long time to come.

I've gone from a 15 to a 17. I was surprised how noticeable the speed and screen quality improvements are. Very happy and the lavender colour is lovely.

Went from a 14 to a 17 Pro. I wanted to be one of the cool kids for a change. :) Honestly the 14 did everything I needed a phone to do. However, just as you can never be too rich or too thin, you can never have too much processing power. The demands on hardware will continue to increase.

I’ve had it almost two weeks now. I like the speed, the bright display and the cameras. I have no real complaints
about IOS 26 but I am definitely not a power user in any way, shape or form.

It’s cosmic orange but I’ve got it so protected it’s difficult to tell.
