Are both iPhone's running OS 3.0? I guess so, but if not... then it is Safari 4 and not the iPhone.3Gs loads pages really quick over wifi compared. Just done a comparing loading engadget and ebay. engadget loaded in about 8 seconds on the 3Gs and 18 on the 3G. Wifi loading on safari is something i was really interested in seeing compared.....

p.s. Why don't you run http://speedtest.net/ a few times?
I want to see how fast Maps runs. I use that very much on my 3g.
How fast does it load? To locate you? To search for something (local wal-mart?) street view run good? (wait does it have street view?)![]()
Just what I thought – I ran the SunSpider JavaScript Benchmarks on my iPhone and that shows a whole lot improvements (just like Apple said during the WWDC).both were running and the 3G had just been restored to factory default. but i loaded each page on both phones before doing the test so they had the same cookies and cache.
That must be due to the Faraday cage, and maybe that is why Tom Tom is going to "enhance the GPS signal" with their new car kit – which also offers charging, playing in car audio and adding hands-free calling (thanks to the new 30 pin connector specs).maps seemed good. but compass is rubbish in a car.
now there is the convincing i need ! any more trials you care to share?!
how about loading apps ? is it faster there as well?
Macrumors for starters![]()
Does SMS still lag hardcore?

Further, it never needs to reload them when you put them in the background!
