Not really. Although today in my one on one with my boss I get to tell her that I quit. Maybe she'll be scared. :)

well i turn thirty today, so i'm officially out of my twenties. it is rainy here today and i have yet to get that promotion that was promised. but that is pretty much the standard day for me. except for the whole birthday thing. however, at the starbucks this morning a beautiful urban cougar came in and literally made me do a double take. to bad i'm married! if i keep talking like this i might need to post in the cheating thread:D

My mom's Tivo dies yesterday. My harddrive at work crashed today (bad sectors). Before I could fix that, one of our linux servers had issues, worked all day on that one. Must be Friday the 13th.

Nothing bad happened yesterday.
I was not scared.
My Korean students (some at least) knew about the superstition and were interested to learn about its origins.
Here, there is no unlucky day as such, but the number 4 is considered unlucky because it resembles the Chinese symbol for death. Also, one should not write a person's name in red, because I think it means they will die soon....

my list of bad happenings yesterday:

1) after I took my shower I slipped on the tiles and screwed up my left side
2) I get home, and my 4 year old favorite floor lamps head had decided to snap off by itself, but the rest of the stand ect was still in good shape
3) i open my closet door and slip again, on my right side this time. turns out that my shampoo bottles top had popped off somehow and since it was on its side, the shampoo had leaked all over the floor of my closet.

other than the sucky weather out, and the above, the day has been a good one

there were two 6 magnitude earthquakes at 0:30 and 3 am this friday 13 in my city, not sure if they are related

Friday the 13ths are usually pretty good for me.

Yesterday was a day off work, babysitting my 21 month old granddaughter. I spent much of the day laughing my *** off because she's so funny. She's at that stage where she thinks if she puts a large block in front of her face so she can't see us, we can't see her either; she's "hiding". Then she pulls the block away and makes a huge surprised "Here I am!" face.

My Friday the 13th was filled with that kind of stuff. :)
