I was reminded last night of the fact that I haven't seen Airplane in probably a year. I need to fix that :)
Try watching an old wester with George Kennedy and Leslie Neilson in it.
You sit there the entire time waiting and waiting and waiting for a sarcastic remark to come out.
Never one.
 
Mostly, it's about getting within the lines, but I can never seem to park perfectly. I make an effort to see how well I can do it each time I park my car, but rarely succeed like in the diagram below.

But I'm just wired that way. I can't help but see these things.



This happens to me too. I get have to get it right and it's so difficult driving a suburban gas gussler.

I enough trouble parking in between the lines, so no reverse parking for me... I'll be there all day..
 
Used to? So, not anymore? Not even in New York?

To answer my own question, I googled and found out about 15 states do not require parallel parking in DL test including CA, OR, FL, VA, IL, OH, etc.
