and they are going to be terrible in build quality comparison.

Again... how can you tell they are going to be 'terrible in build quality comparison' without actually seeing them? In my opinion apple stuff has amazing build quality. I have owned most of the major manufacturer's 'buds and have to say that Apple's build quality has never let me down. The current in ear Apple 'buds may be a totally rubbish design, but they are amazingly well made.

Disagree, the past three Apple headphones have not been superior in their build quality. It appears as if the white chord that tends to shred is going to be the same. For the amount of money you are paying a lot for something that isn't built great. The chord is the biggest issue that Apple has in terms of build quality IMO and that doesn't appear to be changing.

I agree. It kind of pisses me off that they tear, and that the $80 in-ears are going to ship with the same build, allowing them to be susceptible to tearing as well. I'm still waiting impatiently for them though, as my old JBL Reference 220's bit the dust at the start of the month, at what I thought was perfect timing. Unfortunately, Apple has yet to ship their new in-ears and I'm getting increasingly annoyed with the lack of decent sound produced by their normal earbuds. Hmmmmmm. With my luck, these won't even have been worth the wait and I spent the past month punishing my ears when I could have gotten new headphones long ago.

I've held off my headphone purchase waiting for these to come out and they're STILL not released. Come on Apple the iPod event was months ago now, I was hoping when the said October release it would be in the first half of October. Little did I expect that it would be November and they still aren't available.

Aaaarghhh, I have waited for 1 month for the new earbuds to release, my old default iPod earphones cable frayed, haven't use my Nano for 1 month already, how long must we wait for the near earphones....

This has turned into a farce. In-ears this month, push notification the prior month. What kind of sick and demented game of waiting is Apple trying to play?

another week passes and no headphones (cant imagine them releasing on a friday) and oh yea......it's NOVEMBER!

just got done chatting with an apple rep on their website and they said "any day now".

Thanks for the information.

I've been waiting and checking on these headphones everyday.

Maybe they'll come out tomorrow?

But I think this upcoming Tuesday is more realistic. Come on Apple!

this is realllllly annoying me. ive been using a $10 pair of headphones since late september thinking they would be out in october. when is apple going to show some reliability?
