OH well...

my computer is now burning through my jeans... wouldnt even be able to have it on my lap if i was wearing shorts...

I really think apple should go into portable heating units since they seem to be doing it soooooo well... My 17inch is now working at ridiculous temperature for more than an hour and a half and if it was winter i would better off having this than turning on the heating ... hahaha... smt to think about instead of the iphone....

Note: just annoys me that apple wont make a recall... my batter cover has fallen off because of how hot the computer gets, i admit i push it to the limit because i record music with Logic Pro, but isnt that what these "super" computers are made for anyway?? Now wanna smack that guy who says "hi I am a mac" in the apple commercials...

I would advice you to call Apple and discuss the matter with the ones that made the product.

If you feel the product you purchased does not meet the quality you expected then I would deal be talking with Apple to find a solution.

It sounds like, at least, that your battery is bonkers but you could try and run the Hardware Test on the Mac OS X installation disc to ensure nothing else seems out of hand.

I know you want to vent your frustrations but your problems will only get solved if you contact Apple and have a dialog with them.

Hopefully you get everything worked out.

Is efficiency of the thermal paste/grease decreases with time? I bought a Macbook pro 2 years ago and seems that it's more hot than than the beginning.

Seriously this thread is 3 years old, don't bring back things from the dead, post a new one, and I'm pretty sure this is the Mac Pro forum... not the Macbook forum.

Yep. Could we get an archive move or even a forum switch?

But yeah, clean out the dust and whatever has built up.

EDIT; Curse your T1 Line, UltraNeo*! Sorry to be a repetitious post, but I think this needs to go in the archive.
