Heh, got past processing for the first time. Clicked Add To Cart and guess what? Session timed out.

Of course, but if I change my billing address then the payment won't go through. Unless I'm being backwards thinking.

I changed my billing address to my home address (where I want it delivered). After my order goes through with Apple, I'll change my billing address back to what it was

It's totally understandable that both Apple and AT&T would be completely unprepared for this. After all, neither one of them had the slightest reason to believe that a lot of people would be pre-ordering, so it's no wonder this caught them completely by surprise, leaving many of us struggling for what, an hour and a half so far?

Moreover, gosh, with thousands of people hammering their servers at the same time, how could anyone expect them to be able to handle that kind of traffic? It's not like they have massive servers and huge staffs, after all.

An error occurred.

It must be late... my brain doesn't process this correctly. How did your payment go through if you changed your billing address to what wasn't on your card?

Oh, I'm doing to use a different card when I buy the phone.

(I thought you meant payment as in your monthly AT&T service charge)

regardless if its at&t or apples fault at this...they have no excuse in my eyes, this isn't there first rodeo. should have prepared for a large wave of traffic coming.

I believe apple should just close their online store temporarily if they know all their customers are getting error messages, fix server issues, and open it shortly. the unfortunate thing is that it is 2:43am here in California, where Apple is headquartered, and im not sure that they have much of a team over in Cupertino fixing this problem at 2:43 in the morning.
