I know we don't know what Apple will decide to call the next release, but we it's seems to naturally be called the iPhone 5 for now, but it'll technically be the iPhone 6.

I'm just throwing in my 2 pence, and I'll put bets in that it follows in the steps of the iPad and is 'The New iPhone'

Anyway, that's all. Hah!

If you want to get technical about it, the iPhone 3G wasn't the third one either. I know it's impossible to fathom that a company would have their own internal way of naming their products, but there you go.

It's not impossible, stop ruddy assuming. I don't know where you decided to bring the 3G up, I'm not a complete mong and know it was the 2nd.

I can see why people get irate on this forum. No one and seem to voice their opinion without getting a an onslaught of hatred and arguments.

Everyone's entitled to the opinion and if that's opposite to someone else, then that's fine, but my god there's way of going about it, and on here it's ALWAYS the wrong way.

What was angry about his comment? You seem angry, actually.

Mods, can anyone who starts a thread on this get an automatic lifetime ban?;):D

You should say "in my opinion" instead of "technically" if you are voicing an opinion. :)

to be fair, you have brought up a point that has been discussed to death.

That's a bad example. The 3G was only referring to the 3G radio. That's all. Apple has only ever named an iPhone based on the generation, the iPhone 4.

Apple will definitely call the next iPhone...wait for it... iPhone. The proof is in iPad. And for good reason, they can't just keep numbering the phones and then adding S's. They've got to stop it at some point, and sooner the better.
