That's a bad example. The 3G was only referring to the 3G radio. That's all. Apple has only ever named an iPhone based on the generation, the iPhone 4.

Apple will definitely call the next iPhone...wait for it... iPhone. The proof is in iPad. And for good reason, they can't just keep numbering the phones and then adding S's. They've got to stop it at some point, and sooner the better.

Finally, some sense to have a reasonable conversation. All I wanted was a reasonable discussion and not to cause any bother.

I too agree it'll most likely carry on as the iPad did. Another number would just be getting tedious. I would be impressed if it was something that none of us were expecting, but there's probably high doubts on that.

I can see why people get irate on this forum. No one and seem to voice their opinion without getting a an onslaught of hatred and arguments.

Everyone's entitled to the opinion and if that's opposite to someone else, then that's fine, but my god there's way of going about it, and on here it's ALWAYS the wrong way.
