I really don't like the colour of the traffic icons in the new itunes 8.1. They are brighter and more saturated than the system ones, those in finder for example.![]()
Change you color scheme to graphite!

This doesn't seem feasible to me. If I understand correctly, transcoding would code a lossless track to lossy when syning to the iPod, wouldn't this take forever to sync your iPod?
It seems like you would HAVE to have 2 libraries to make sure syning with iPod isn't too time consuming.
Transcoding isn't the solution for this problem at the moment, maybe one day when it can do the encoding it seconds but we're some way away from that still. But there are other ways the problem could be solved to avoid the need for two libraries.
The best option would be for there to be a way to keep multiple versions of a song, each encoded differently but in effect sharing the library entry which would include details of each version. Then you just have an option to say which one to use; Apple Lossless in iTunes and AAC on iPods for example.
Finding there is a major lag with iTunes cover flow view and two-fingered scroll. Once I start scrolling and stop it takes a few swipes to start moving again. And trying to do a slow incremental scroll is complete fail.
I had this same problem this morning. Plug in your iPhone and go to the info tab (iPhone sync section) and check replace calendar info on this phone with info from this computer. It worked for me.
I'm getting this too. Gonna try a reinstall from installer .DMG file later tonight. Hopefully this corrects it.
Yes it has!Is it just me or does the iTunes store now have MULTITOUCH SUPPORT?
I think this is a new, unlisted feature, no? I don't remember it working in the previous version.
Are you swiping from left to right on the pad? I thought I had this problem too till i realised that I should be swiping up and down (like scrolling a page). Works fine now.

So I've gone from a rock solid iTunes, to the latest iTunes and although it seems OK for most stuff, it just crashes when updating and attempting to download the latest Podcasts I have subscribed to.
I've had to disable automatic updating and found that the only way to update the Podcasts is to update each stream individually (56 of them).
If I hit the 'refresh' button, it just crashes!

Open up the Music playlist on your iPod (click the triangle next to its name to expand the list).
Down at the bottom of the window.
You should see something like this:

Enjoy.
Did that and I no longer get the error...
But I lost everything In my calendar![]()
Thanks. But I needed a solution for Windows. But someone else later said it only happens on the currently selected track now, so it's not so bad.i think Onyx can do it. not 100% sure though![]()
Don't know whether this has been mentioned yet, but one thing I've missed fromparty shuffleiTunes DJ is the ability to use the currently playing song as the first in a new party shuffle without a break.
It's a good update.
Not sure about the request a song via remote thing though. Even if everyone at your party has an iPhone, it's still a bit lame imho
I'm just a little bit distressed that iTunes+Quicktime has now bloated to an 80Mb download. It's now probably the slowest media player I know of.
