iTunes 9.2 on PC

If you install iOS4 on a mac with iTunes 9.2 (or with vmware) and activate it there, can you after activating it use it on a windows pc with the previous itunes and sync music, movies and apps and all as normal?

Basically; is activation AND usage limited to 9.2 only?

iOS4 will only sync with iTunes 9.2, so you must use that exclusively once the phone is on 4.0

I have 9.2 and trying to install GM on my 3G and getting:

The phone could not be updated. An unknown error occurred. (3002)

Not working for me either!

UPDATE: Seems as though you get that error if you are downloading something in iTunes in the background. After my downloads finished it updated to iOS4 GM perfectly.
