Bad Joke

A horrible email spam joke would be to send messages that say "Congratulations. You won the 100,000,000 song iTunes Contest!"

i bet some old joe up there in the back woods of north dakota who never even heard of a powerbook won after buying a song out of frustration b/c he didnt get to watch a rerun on the outdoor channel.

"Number 39: Use Email whenever you can.

You'll save money, but the big saving is time! No need to address the envelope, or stick a stamp on the letter, or go to the mailbox!

Don't delete an e-mail message when you apply. Do an insert of your message...bla bla bla"

One needs a Ph.D. to figure this out?

Damn. Well, I bought my 3 songs, each timed right when I saw the update, in the middle of the update, and just before I saw it change to those 14,000 songs over 100 million.

counter

So the counter is off Apple's homepage and the iPod+iTunes page.
I noticed the iTunes Promo Checkup program and the Countdown Alert level wep page are still updating. How long will those be working?

Just out of curiousity, how many people bought songs related to the word "Million"? All 3 of mine were, just so it'd look cool if they announced the song purchased when the winner is unveiled.

Looks like it could be, since the way the numbers run. There seams to be a few missing numbers in the order.
