You’ll be able to in Music.I want to still be able to make local image backups of my iPhone. Don't stick me on iCloud. I'm not always in a place with a reliable wireless connection.

This would be disappointing, I don’t use it for matching anymore but primarily for custom songs not available on any cloud based platform and always utilize iTunes Match to upload them and listen on all my devices. Hopefully it’s still part of the new appI expect it's being killed off.
Everyone else has already exited that business with the exception of Google. And Google themselves are transitioning away from matching cloud music with their new YouTube Music service.
Yep, and it's going to start dating somebody half its age. Watch out, Spotify!is it getting a rolex too?
How is Swinsian any better than iTunes? Other than FLAC support.I will miss iTunes, but it's been a long time since iTunes has been good as a "jukebox."
Folks that manage large offline music libraries should check out Swinsian. It's a fully native macOS app for music management and playback.
When Apple launched the Watch in 2015, it was positioned as the next major product after the iPhone. But sales haven’t reached iPhone levels and the Watch still relies on the handset.
They just killed Safari on Windows. I expect Apple to abandon the PC.And it will take 6 months to a year to come out on PC and still have the stupid mac UI on Windows.
That's a good question! I wonder what is going to happen to the version on Windows? If they would just add the ability to make and edit smart playlists/folders in addition to adding or editing the meta-data on iOS then I personally wouldn’t even need to use iTunes or whatever comes after it on Mac/PC ever.
Which brings up another question, what happens on Windows?
Check out their website. It is purely for library management and playback. No store, no podcasts, no radio, no apps, no streaming, no movies, no tv shows. But it does have a good/smart duplicate finder. How is Swinsian any better than iTunes? Other than FLAC support.
Not only that, I don’t see how logistically another tech product could ever sell as well as the iPhone. Computers won’t (not to consumers), so unless there is another major paradigm shift it’s simply impossible to match the best selling consumer computing device ever made. This is terrible writing. Basically describing the Watch as a failure because it doesn’t sell in iPhone like quantities. When did anyone at Apple ever suggest the Watch should/would reach iPhone sales levels?
How do you get music into iCloud music library outside of iTunes? How do you manage metadata on your library outside of iTunes? And if you’re not using a 3rd party video player iTunes is the only way to sync media to your device. There is iTunes functionality that is still needed.Nobody needs iTunes anymore.
Apple Music is everything. As long as there's a Mac app that interfaces with Apple Music then everyone will be good.
