OP: Can you post of screenshot of the Summary tab of the Get Info dialog from within iTunes for one of the songs prior to adding artwork?

Actually, I meant from within iTunes, not from Finder. Sorry, if I wasn't clear.

One of this things I'm want to see id the version of ID3 tag in the file. Some don't have the ability to store certain information (like lyrics and artwork).

BTW, if you use cmd-ctrl-shift-4, you can draw an area you want to capture instead of your entire screen.

Edit: As corrected below, it should have been cmd-shift-4 to put a copy of the cap on the desktop. The ctrl copies it to the clipboard to paste into another application, rather than saving to the desktop.

Hey when i use cmd-ctrl-shift-4 I hear the click but the screenshot does not appear on the desktop like it does when I take a normal screenshot. I even checked the my pictures folder. Where should it appear?

Huh? You do understand that its cmd-shift-4 ..not with ctrl!

It will give you a crosshair to draw the region of interest, or press space to change the crosshair to a "camera" to capture a selected window.

It seems that your problems stem from (also the itunes) your lack of the basic "OSX" knowlege. I would highly recommend you to get a good book to learn the basics. Get this one: http://www.amazon.com/Mac-OS-Leopar...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233042903&sr=8-1

The user who was guiding me asked me to use ctrl. If you read his post you will realise. Thanks for the tip anyways.

My mistake, not the OP's. I was at work (on Windows). I usually use SnapzPro or Skitch for my screen caps, but figured the OP didn't have that. Was going on memory.

I would still be interested in seeing the Info Summary on the file from within iTunes.

That said, I think you may have to start fresh. Rename your current iTunes folder, and start iTunes. It should open a blank library. Import a few songs and try adding artwork.

Thanks for your help by the way. Much appreciated.

By the way, there's a better way to attach photos to your post. Your images from imageshack aren't the best quality. When you're creating a post, click the paperclip icon:

Picture 8.jpg

Then click "Choose File" and browse to select the file you want on your Mac and click "Upload".

Picture 9.jpg

There's no need to use a separate image hosting site like imageshack and your photos will be higher quality.

adityashah1989:
I'm running out of ideas. The ID3 version looks correct and would be able to store lyrics and art.

iTunes should not be making a copy just because you add art to it. I would start with a fresh iTunes library, like I mentioned in my last post.

Let us know what happens.
