this kind of thing was available for apps wasn't it?

I told my friend about it today, and went to my iTunes to say "there'll be a little cloud here soon to download the song".....and then there was. Didn't I look daft! But yes, working in the UK as others mentioned.

You're referring to iTunes Match.

At the moment, it doesn't appear to be an option to anybody outside of the US. But this may (hopefully) change when iOS 5 is released later on today

iTunes Match isn't live anywhere (including 'merica) until the end of the month.

Working in Dublin, Ireland

I have a question though, I understand this iTunes in the cloud lets you redownload for Free all the tracks you've previously purchased right?

What about the tracks that were DRM'd before, Tracks I bought before iTunes went DRM free...

Previously you had to pay to have these upgraded to DRM free right? so now can you upgrade them (by redownloading them through the cloud) for free?

Thanks,
John

good luck to all you limited data users...lol the cloud will kill you

Maybe more carriers will include unlimited data as part of their plans like Sprint is doing. I do know that AT&T does offer an unlimited data plan. For me, I am going to be on Sprint. If I did not have a unlimited data plan then I would just use Wi-Fi anywhere possible.

What iOS 4.x.x are you running? I think you need to be running 4.3.5 to see it. A colleague in the office here is running 4.2.1 and cannot see it.

I'm running the IOS5 GM. maybe Its getting left out for now?

Try signing out of the store and signing in again to refresh.

Anyone know if this means it will also allow me (UK) to purchase the additional upload feature of iTunes where you pay the additional annual storage fee to add your own tunes to the cloud?

Thanks.

iTunes match will go live in the US at the end of the month.

Apple have not announced when it will be available for the ROW.
