None of us have heard anything on iTunes Match since it was announced by Steve. Months of delay without any further announcements.

I think you're right, it will increase over time. But being such a huge music fan, I hate waiting. I really need to back my music up now, not in 2012. Part of my trade is as a musician and a lot of the songs are my own work, would be great to have them in the cloud system. I'm only 4000 songs over the limit too.

You don't have to wait for iTunes Match to be able to back up your unusually large library.

If you value your music that much I really suggest you invest in a backup solution of your own. The cloud is for convenience, it's not a serious backup solution.

How can you be disappointed with something that does what it says on the tin.... the same tin it was announced in well before even the US launch!?

You told someone else they need to catch up... appears its your disappointment that needs to catch up!

I didn't say I was 'surprised'; I'm never surprised. I said I was disappointed. Am a big Apple and Music fan, but I feel very let down today.

It works fine in the UK!

1. quit itunes and restart your computer.

2. go to ipod on ur idevice and enable itunes match

3. go to itunes store and click on itunes match

4. click start.

DONE!

thats all i have done. try it out maybe it'll work.

Just to put minds at reast, I purchased itunes match yesterday for my UK account when it first showed up. After an hour of switching on genius tonight lol it has just completed stage 2 of matching. It just seems to be a case of wait until your apple id updated....

In fairness, Apple.com/uk has not been updated with details about iTunes Match and whilst most of the documents you can find about the match service are on the main apple.com site its only today they have started to update support documents to cover the new countries.

It's now working in the UK! I was having the sign out error and I purchased Match earlier this morning when it leaked. Currently matching tracks!

I wonder if iTunes Match will ever be available in Japan. I have strong doubts it will, considering Sony's stranglehold on the music industry here.

It mentions the limit right underneath the "Subscribe for £21.99" button when signing up.

Just on the final step here in the UK. Also my apple TV2 has the iTunes Match music option too now :D

I was having the sign out and in errors, however i found merely purchasing a free app, thus bringing up the new iTunes terms and conditions. once accepting and trying iTunes match again it worked straight away.

KEY: make sure you've accepted the new iTunes T&Cs

Once the holidays are over and my credit card has recuperated, I'm signing up for this.

It'll be worth it just to refresh my music collection, spanning over a decade, in better quality.

good now lets see if it doesn't work around the world like it doesn't work here in the states.. tired of getting "Logged out"

Has anyone signed up who had a MobileMe account? I was under the impression we would get it free for a while until our subscriptions expire but looks like I got charged.....
