Still having problems here.

After 5 hours it appears to have ground to a halt.

My iTunes match great for me 99% of the time and it's great for the low price.

I do get some odd niggles such as playlists that don't get synced immediately. But honestly, I hated having to sync my music manually to every iPod, iPhone and iPad and manage storage space.

I do have a streaming access through Plex on my server for free but this just works a bit better and better integrated with IOS.

It's because their matching software just isn't that good. There's really no excuse for it not to do better, and no visible improvement in the years since the service first launched.

You've really got me thinking about it now. There's got to be something else going on that neither of us is aware of. Consider this, even if the music recognition software wasn't good that still wouldn't account for an entire album not getting matched. Some songs would get matched and others from the same album wouldn't. However, what I've experienced is that entire albums won't get matched. I'm not saying the software doesn't scan the audio files, I think you've essentially proven that it does, but there has to be another factor affecting the way these songs get matched (or don't).

From what people have tested it seems like there are a number of factors. A big one is if files are a second or two longer than Apple's version it will fail (probably looks at song length as well as the audio file itself), also people have had things match after converting so it may perform better with certain file formats or quality settings.

Yes, Yes, Yes

I was one of them

Long delays... signed out, signed in and tried again...

still no go..

Not all the time it happens, but more often just to make me go crazy.

Still having problems as well. It matches tracks fine. But has been sitting on trying to upload 3 tracks for 48 hours now.

Apple Fix is coming on Sunday (20th June 2014)

Since I am also still having problems here in Europe (Germany), I talked to the German iTunes Support today and they said, that the problems are caused by server problems on Apple's side. They are working on it and said they are awaiting a fix on sunday (20th june 2014). If it shouldn't work again by monday, I should call them again.

As a temporary workaround they proposed to sign off from iTunes and itunes Match. Restart the router (so the internet connection is reestablished) and then connect to itunes Match again.

Hope this helps you guys :)

That didnt work for me but thanks for the info.

I've always found it fairly flakey, but this week it's been ridiculous for me, borderline unusable. It took several attempts and many hours to match and upload 3 CDs and still seems to be stuck trying to upload an EP I got on Amazon.

Hope it gets fixed soon, at least to back up to the regular level of flakey.

It's working again for me as of today. I had tried some of the quitting match and clearing cache tips posted in this thread and it didn't work at the time. But suddenly today it's working again. My library is now completely matched!

Still not working here in Norway. I'm stuck at step 2, it always stalls when one or two songs remain.

This is incredibly disappointing, if this lasts more than a week more, I'm gonna demand a refund from Apple. This just doesn't work at all.

This has also been playing up for me in the UK for a while now.

Constantly timing out or failing to upload.

Also had it get stuck matching 9014/9015 tracks and refusing to get any further.

Very annoying seeing as my subscription renewed this month!

And news or ideas welcome #

Fix

I have been having this issue for a while. Apple couldn't explain why and was never able to resolve the issue for me.

After doing a considerable amount of research online, I found that many believed it was due to some sort of overload caused by high upload speeds.

I found that by downloading a bandwidth limiting app such as Entonnior and setting upload limit on HTTP and HTTPS to around 128 kbps tracks magically began to upload again with no issues.

I shall try this and report back! Thanks for the tip!

However my upload speed is only 3mb and used to upload at exactly that when I originally uploaded my library at the beginning.

Just tried Entonnoir, reset the upload to 128kbs, still not working for me!

OK so i've now tried doing this on an PC with a similar bandwith management program and I am also stuck again on "Uploading artwork and remaining songs".

From what I can see iTunes is attempting to connect to 17.154.65.49:443 and it just keeps saying resolving over and over again.

Just looks like the upload server keeps resetting or refusing the connection.

Bizzare!!!!
