Yes .. that only "plus" is the main reason to like a streaming radio service.

Huge collection of iTunes, streamed at high quality for free while you can create your own playlist/station. You also can purchase the music you really like by single click.
Oh and it's integrated into iOS along with iTunes Match.

All of them combined = machine gun slaughtering for the competition.

LOL. No.

Spotify blows iTunes Radio clean out of the water. Hmmm... listen to whatever I want, whenever I want? Or listen to some radio service where someone else tells me what to listen to and when I can listen to it? Very difficult decision.

There seems to be some misunderstanding about the maximum number of "skips" every hour

Come on Apple, you decide what i have to listen and after 6 skips an hour the show is over?????

It really...really puzzles me why people "can't wait" to use iTunes radio over all the other services out there...or is it "just because it's Apple"?

As above, iTunes Radio works fine in Canada if you create and sign in to a US iTunes account.

And for people whinging about switching accounts, do you buy something every day? Not any trouble at all really.
I use iTunes Match to access my music on my iPhone. If I switch to a US account I will have to switch back to listen to my music

I'd be just as happy if spotify was in canada

You and I have different cause for listening to a radio service. When I do it I want to be surprised, I want to get new good songs I never noticed before yet still in line with my taste. And I found iTunes Radio to be quite good at that.

Oh this is good, and that is good too .. how can I never hear one before. Buy!

If I want to hear whatever I want whenever I want might as well pull the plug and listen to my local music library. The suckiest thing about iTunes Radio is the limited skips number per hour and ocassional ad unless you subscribe for itunes Match. Quite easy though. Switch station for a while

Also Spotify has been very quickly expanding to many countries in the world and to my surprise, their service launched in Hong Kong half a year ago and I haven't looked back since.

You mean the USA? The United States of America? What other possible thing should citizens of the United States of America call themselves?

Usians :D

Since it's one person, the role will probably just be modifying the US programming by adding artists popular up here.
More likely it will involve removing material that is not covered by existing agreements. I see this all the time, with services like the iTunes Store and Netflix offering much more restricted selections in Canada (Netflix Canada is particularly awful).

How 'bout France?

Me sad :(

Hint about Australia

Yesterday I noticed the radio button popped up in the Music app on iOS 7 on my iPad mini after a restore (here in Australia).
A similar Radio button is not showing on the iPhone ... just curious ... anyone?

Pandora is the better service in my experience. With iTunes radio my experience has been skip, skip, skip, skip, launch Pandora, enjoy. The music playing on iTunes radio has been bad for me.

Apart from the fact you have to pay to listen to music on your device, unless it's a laptop.......

This is why I refused to upgrade from iTunes 10.6.

I liked the internet radio that came with it. Then in typical Apple fashion they rip it out during the next release only to reintroduce some form of the former functionality in yet another update while proclaiming how great it is.

Internet radio is still there in the current version of iTunes. In typical whiner fashion you didn't even bother to check if it was.

The Canadian iteration of iTR, as approved by their CRTC, (aka Critic) is remarkably easy to use. Once you've heard enough Anne Murray you can switch to the Gordon Lightfoot stream. Then back. Then kick back with some poutine and Molson. Then more Lightfoot.

What - no Stompin' Tom in the lineup? What the hell kind of beta was this, anyway?

Canada is better off waiting a bit, because it plays the same songs a lot (as others have said). I hope they fix it before they roll it out to ROW.

iTunes Radio May Be Coming Soon to Canada

iTunes Radio, Apple's streaming music service that debuted alongside iOS 7, is currently limited to users in the United States. That may change in the near future, however, as Apple appears to be preparing to launch the service in Canada.
