how is a completely new product, that people have wanted and tried to "create" themselves for YEARS not more exciting than an ipod with a bigger screen? i mean. even if the screen is the full size of the ipod. its still TINY.

Sounds like Apple is trying to avoid inventory troubles by gauging response, as to not make a repeat of the Cube disaster.

Anyway, very unusual for Apple, but necessary...
 
Apple sucks. I want a MBP 100x the current available speeds and it must run cool enough to keep my beer cold while I sit back on MR and bitch about it not being 1,000x faster. I mean seriously, I've had this thing for like 3 months now! It's time to get rid of it before something new comes out and suddenly what I have is worthless.

Streaming TV feeds has been around for a while now.

I'm with the original poster - no widescreen iPod = LAME.
 
LOL well it certainly won't be called iTV in the UK that's for sure.

So Apple broadcast to the UK to promote new iPods on which you can watch tv shows and films, neither of which are available in the UK - what on earth was the point of that? Come buy our new products that you can't actually use.

Very disappointed.
 
will be released Q1 2007.....and you know they are only showing us a fourth of what this box will really do...they just want to scare the ***** out of Microsoft and their zune......

Did I really just spend an hour on that? Lots of goodies, but there was something missing. Something over the top and revolutionary...

Are you serious? A widescreen ipod has been talked about to death. Nobody wants 4:3 movies man. Oh and they need to put a damn speaker on the ipods too. If my phone can have one so can an ipod.
 
I dont need a set-top box and I will never use this, I was merely stating my opinion, and I wanted to see a vPod, not AN IPOD WITH VIDEO as quoted by Mr Jobs, a proper, video playing device.
