if I am not mistaken

I belive that moviefone is owned by AOL, and AOL and iTunes are now in the sack, so i belive it would go the AOL route. now why cant they make a good version of AIM toegether i cannot figure out, imagine a kick *ss ichat, that was cross platform, and then they could really pump up isight and maybe evem make it work through a airport express.
just my thoughts

ps. airport express should be able to charge an ipod. i see no reason why not.

iMovie is already a program hahaha. made by apple, no less. part of iLife... anyways.

DUH ! I was saying that just like iTunes used to be just a program for your music on your mac, then turned into a music store too, you could do the same for iMovie, turn it into something that you can edit video on, but also purchase video....I didn't know I had to spell that out for you? ...Anyways

I just tried. It charges a shuffle, and it charges a nano. My other iPod (30GB 3G) doesn't support charging over USB, so obviously it doesn't.

How true! Here we are, less then a week from Paris and all the rumor we have is about possible music video clips

Even a G5 powerbook rumor would be more interesting at this point!

video podcast and video blogs

We too have a video podcast called the Four Eyed Monsters Video Blog

It has been up for a couple months or so. Check out the 4 episodes that are there and subscribe so you can check out the slew of episodes we are getting ready to put up. It's about the film Four Eyed Monsters traveling on the film festival circuit and the chaos that ensues.

From the creative side I think short episodic content is a great format, and the ability for people to subscribe and have a regular audience is very inspiring. That's all we filmmakers want, an audience, thats all, just an audience.

About language, I think that a podcast is a piece of media that is subscribed to and then managed on a media juke box. Might be iTunes, might be an iPod, might be another portable device, or another piece of software that can agrigate feeds and organize media. If all you have is a computer then that is your podcast player, but if you have other devices that can play the content, great. Nothing in the word Podcast means just audio, or just video for that matter. I look at podcasts as the umbrella term and then the flavors within like audio blog, music show, talk radio, video news, video blog, documentary series, educational videos, etc...

So that's my opinion, it's all podcasting. Also no one has pointed out that when you are searching the iTunes library in iTunes 5 "video" is one of the new ways to refine you're search. Another video improvement in iTunes 5 is that before when you played a video you might only hear it and not see it because the artwork drawer might have been closed. Now when you play a video the artwork drawer automatically opens up to display the video playback making watching movies in iTunes idiot proof. But my favorite button in iTunes is the one that makes the video play back full screen.

One thing I'm waiting for is quicktime 7 on the PC, that's when we'll start doing all of our video blogs in H.264 a standard that could really pave the way of the future for video podcasts.

I would buy a video iPod. I wouldn't want to watch anything on that tiny screen, but I would want to be able to hook it up to a TV, like you can with iPod Photo (or, I guess it's just "iPod" now) and watch slideshows.

As for personal video devices being a flop, I don't know about anyone else, but I see PSPs all over the place.

Here's an idea -- maybe they could make a PSP-size device that you can plug the iPod into, a la Powerbook Duo. Just stick it in the little docking bay thing, and boom, you have your music and videos on a 6" screen. I think that'd be pretty cool.

And I guess they have to standardize the name. Videomaker magazine calls them "vidcasts".

You ust be joking!

Video podcasts are just now starting to appear? I have been posting my videocast, video blog, whatever you call it since December, and it has been available on itunes since 4.9 came out.

My site, insanefilms.com has had several hundred subcribers since this launch. There are many other videocasts available on iTunes as well.

My podcast, yeastradio.com also has been offereing videos via iTunes as well. I even reported from Crawford Texas about a mont ago via my yeast radio podcast/video blog.

This must mean iPod Video next Tuesday !!!!!!11!1!!11!! :D

I think this rumor further indicates that if Apple were to sell an iPod capable of playing video, they would only focus on smaller sized videos and your own videos taken with your digital camera. I think the possibilty of feature films is not something we'll be seeing too soon.

Movie tickets!!

If I can view Movie Trailers via iTunes then why not show me movie timetables for theaters near me and then be able to purchase tickets via the MovieTickets.Com structure already in place...all without leaving iTunes??

That would be a great one-stop shop! And it would make sense for Apple to move towards this model.

I'm sorry, but video podcasts in the iTMS have been around for quite some time. I've been subscribed to the Diggnation video podcast for weeks, now. I'm surprised by Mac Rumors...they're usually spot on.

yeah you did have to spell it out, because that makes no sense. apple would not create a VIDEO EDITING program that also allowed you to purchase videos. that's just obsurd.

and as for those who think that apple will allow you to search movie times and buy tickets on itunes, forget about it. the only reason that apple has movie trailers, is to plug quicktime and H.264, and because most of those films use G5's in the production process.

tickets could be sold in sherlock

For a while Sherlock has provided trailers, synopsis theater locations and movie times. That would be a much more likely place for them to add the ability to buy the movie tickets. As far as feature film downloads even the CEO of netflix has admited someday there won't be a need for the service their company currently provides because it will just be download based instead of mail based. Also has anyone taketn a look at the Quicktime Gallery. The current war between the two main HD DVD formats might be lost by both of them to a download based h.264 solution for watching HD movies off you're computer that you stream to your television.

I'm a filmmaker and I would make our movie available that way,
