Add to that I love the ability to double-click, plus the multi-touch trackpad is beyond compare to any lappy. No problems, perfect fit and finish.

I love hearing the good experiences. Mine was delivered 7 minutes after I left this morning for school!! Can't wait to get home...

Aside from the adjustments, and a couple of minor gripes with Leopard, the computer is fantastic. Snappy boot time, instant wake from sleep, overall major speed increase in applications, BLAZING wifi with my Airport Extreme (see below), solid build quality, crisp bright display, quiet and cool, MUCH louder speakers...it goes on and on.

why would you use your internet connection as a wifi metric. You should transfer something over lan and see how much your transfer rate differs from the n-spec. You should be getting something closer to 75MB/s (megabyte) over lan.

Mine should arrive today. My PB 12" had a bad hard drive and I had not backed up anything. Apple couldn't fix it so I've learned a valuable lesson at $150/hr for data recovery.

I really loved my PB 12" and wanted to get a new drive for it, but I was tempted to get the new Macbook. I may get the 12" repaired after Christmas. Not sure why, but it was my first Mac and served my well for about 5 years.

I got my new Macbook about an hour ago -- everything was perfect with it (no slanted keys, no loose battery cover, no dead pixels). So not all Macbooks have defects **knocks on wood**.

Just got mine TODAY, its great. None of the noted problems are present (which is a rarity for me).

People come to forums to learn and vent. People rarely praise. I love this computer, its solid. So happy to see my crackbook go.

typing this from my new MB!!! I LOVE this thing! Has zero problems that I've noticed so far, and trust me, I've been lookin'.

I haven't had any problems with mine. No loose battery cover, great battery life. Maybe it's just my imagination, but this one actually seems snappier with 2GB RAM than my old late '07 MacBook with 4GB.

I was a little worried about wireless reception, too. But I'm happy to report that it's been just as good as with my plastic MacBook. I also don't use FireWire, so that's a non-issue with me.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with it! :D

I love mine, am really really happy with it. It is a nice replacement for my much missed Powerbook G4. I have owned two Powerbook G4's, a Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz SR, a white Macbook 2.4 (which I didnt like) and now this Alu macbook. Only went in the store to have a look at them, ended up buying one!

It runs really cool have never seen the fan go above 2000rpm, and is nice and cool, the keyboard is great to type on, all in all Apple have done a great job. Just wish it had the backlit keyboard.
