I much prefer Windows to MacOS, so I am glad I have a lot more options (lighter devices, touch and pen, 5G), including now with excellent battery life thanks to Snapdragon X and Intel Lunar Lake. But I still love my iPad pro, because nothing is this light in a 13" body and touch optimized.
I go back-and-forth. I really like the windows hardware—like the Surface Pro, but windows is so over the top about AI. Who knows though, Apple might start going down the same path.

I am hoping WWDC makes ipadOS better.

I truly find Windows to be very touch-unfriendly. Reasonable touch based devices but it feels like Microsoft didn’t do much to optimize for touch. It’s just a PC with a much bigger pointing device, the finger. The iPad at least still retains its organic purpose and is much more pleasant to use for long stretches of reading, etc.

And to set the record straight, I am not a coder or developer and do not work in tech. I work in medicine/healthcare and can absolutely do 100% of my work on my iPad Pro and enjoy its portability while toting it around the city and the OLED/nano-texture display. Sometimes the Magic Keyboard comes with, other times it’s just a 1lb tablet in a Smart Folio in my bag.

I don't know if the Rumors were true but are they gonna increase the iPad Current size from 11 and 13 to 11.5" and 13.5"? The 13.5" would be as easily as big as 15" MacBook Air due to the Aspect Ratio itself alone...

Since you revived this old thread, let me answer this, no there is zero increase in screen size, those rumors were wrong

decided to go back to 11 inch 1TB with nano texture

feel i was using 13 inch more as a tablet and 16 inch macbook pro will be used for most heavy lifting anyway

Did the same. Swapping my 13” iPad Pro m4 for an 11” nano texture. iPad is my main work computer but I miss the portability and my workflow is mainly a single app at a time and overlapping apps works quite well for me in 26

I keep doing this. Sticking with my 11” until the cows come home

I decided to go back to an 11 inch iPad after trying an iPad mini from July 2025 to yesterday. Just miss the larger text and having to scroll so much. Got my mini from Best Buy on a significant sale, was able to trade it in almost for what I got it from Best Buy.

Much happier with the 11. I find the larger text makes it so I want to keep reading longer and with less strain. The larger iPad also helps me keep my head facing more upward for reading sessions.

I don't think there have been any concrete rumours about this, I've speculated in the past they may want to up the Pro iPads to 12" and 14" as a differentiator, and now and again there's a rumbling about a single larger model (between 14 and 16 inch) but the current iPad Pro rumour roundup on this site only mentions the 18.8" foldable (which could also be a mac) in terms of size rumours with any substance:

Absolutely. Don’t get me wrong; the 13” m4 dimensions and weight are incredible and impressive. But I’m always reminded when I pick it up in tablet mode how much I missed the 11” form factor. I did get a mini thinking I could’ve done a dual iPad user but I missed OLED and the keyboard when I needed it, plus the scaling on the mini just isn’t to my liking

I find the 11” to be just a bit too large to enjoy using it as a tablet but nowhere near as useful as the 13” with attached keyboard… I’m Goldilocks shy a fairytale ending. I endlessly debate going back to a mini… but that has always ended in tears. Hence this time I’ll just sit here and shut up about it. Minus the shutting up part.
