I've made an iPhone 4 wallpaper site...

Since I'm lazy, do you want to run back through the "non-sports" wallpaper thread and nab up my anime wallpapers I made? I made a total of around 12 or so I think...

If not, I'll upload them all to your site later tonight if I remember when I get off work.

All wallpapers on i4 Wallpapers are FULL iPhone 4 resolution (640 x 960), and I make sure of that. The site is easily navigated, with clear thumbnails of all categories, and images within that category.

I've uploaded a few wallpapers today, and will upload at least five more every day. I'm constantly adding new categories, and there's even a page where you can submit your own wallpapers to me, to put on the site.

Please don't think this is just me like, "OMG VISIT MY NEW SITE ON FREEWEBZ FOR ALL UR IPHOEN4 NEEDSZ LOL". I bought a domain, and hand coded this site because I wanted it to be useful and a place people could go to easily get some lush wallpapers for a lush device.

I don't begrudge you trying to get some return on your investment/time - but stating you don't put any intrusive ads on your site is like Apple saying there's no antenna issue ;)

I was sure to use the word 'intrusive' in my statement ;). I think Google Adsense ads are far from intrusive.
 
@esadb - To be honest, I'm taking a lot of photos from stock image websites, and Google Images; and just cropping a nice 640 x 960 segment out of them. I'm not a photographer after all :D. If anyone has a dispute over me using one of their images or whatever, there's a form on the site to get in touch with me.

@iggypod - Glad I could help!

@karansaraf - It's all manually coded. I may eventually move to some CMS, but for now it's just HTML and CSS. The reason I didn't use a CMS right from the start was because I have no experience in making themes for CMSs. It's something I will soon be looking into.

I noticed the word intrusive. I guess it all depends on what one considers intrusive.

What I do "care" about is how it affects the look of your site. Even not wanting to have a slick site - it just looks (just my opinion) messy with the google ads where there are.

I removed the ones that were randomly in the grid of thumbnails on the category pages. Now I just have the banner ads above the thumbnails on the main page, and category pages. Just one ad per page is enough I think.
 
It's nice to see that you're continually adding new images! Your site has it's own permanent tab on my browser.

Great start

Finally, some good looking wallpapers for the iPhone 4. Only thing I can add is keep them coming. *bookmarked*
 
Suggestion.

Make a section for black & white photos. There's not enough of them and I personally think they look the best on the phone because it matches with the iPhone 4 design.
 
First of all, I applaud your effort and completely agree with the need for a well designed and curated collection of high quality iPhone 4 wallpapers. I only have one suggestion at the moment. I think the site would be more visually appealing if the wallpapers were displayed in their full aspect ratio. Other than that, keep up the good work, hope the site is a success! :)

That would be sloppy and take a bit longer to load.

uplusd - Haha! Probably the girls category... can't think of any other reason!

studio¹³¹ - Hijacking my thread to advertise some other (probably your own) wallpaper site? That's pretty low man.

Roofy - Great idea. Will add a new Black & White category soon.

Darkfox3889 - I will be looking at ways to improve the design once I've put a sufficient amount of content up.

kr00k322 - I think Darkfox ment full thumbnails rather than square ones. Either way, I'll be looking at some subtle design changes soon based on feedback.
 
I could not view any of the images on your site, I just see the column of links on the side.

Using newest Internet Explorer.
 
It would be awesome if you could make an actual image viewer with a "frame" of correct size. Then people could drag around the frame on their image to crop it properly.

That would be awesome, but a little out of my skill zone ;).
