I have the same attachment to The Ghost Whisperer. It's quite riveting to me because it's mainly about a topic that interests me: death, dying, regret, and the consequences of making one decision over another. Regret is a part of life, but it's interesting to think that some people may have this feeling of regret well into the afterlife.

Just kidding. I just like watching Jennifer Love Hewitt's boobies bounce.

Do you not think it's all faked?
I've never seen the show and I'm going by title alone...

Actually the first few seasons were quite riveting, they turned up quite a bit of evidence, visually.

Now its just turned to them getting overly alarmed at noises which are then recorded and amplified and played back later, to debunk or prove any ghostly activity.

I was forced to watch Glee once. I hated it!! Definitely not a guy show
Current shows I like are:
Sons Of Anarchy
American Chopper
Pawn Stars
Stargate Universe
Rescue Me
How It's Made
Lien On Me
V
Border Wars

I loved Lost and Prison Break as well

American Chopper was good the first couple of seasons, but has become kind of stale.

Stargate Universe had a tough act to follow after Atlantis was shut down and they did themselves no favors with the first 5 or so episodes, but it has become better. Hope season 2 starts off with a bang.

V should be better this season than last. I really liked the 80's version (as corny as it was back then).

And I think you meant Lie to Me? Good show too! I like you list.

I love Stargate SG1 and Atlantis as well. I meant Lien on Me. It's Mike Holmes show (Same guy that did Holmes On Homes) It's basically the same show. Have you ever seen it?

I think a large part of the evidence over the past few years is faked. The biggest mistake they made on faking an event happening was with the coat hanger suddenly getting thrown on the floor in front of Jason and Grant.

Another thing that was getting a huge amount of discussion was the Halloween and Grant's coat collar pulling incident. His hand is clearly pulling on something when his coats collar mysteriously gets tugged on by some "invisible" force.

I keep watching the show because I got into it shortly after my Mother passed away and we were talking one night after my Father passed away. I made my Mom promise me that she would make sure she made me know she was around sometimes when she was gone.

There was an episode when Jason was in an attic and heard a strange vibration coming from somewhere in the attic. My Mom and I heard that same sound coming from a the floor in a room one day about a year after my Dad died. That was one thing they had happen in the show that I believed because it was the same exact sound that Jason heard himself. I've never heard that sound again and I've lived in this house for 3.5 years since my Mom has been gone.

There is also lots of other questionable evidence and you can read up on it on the Ghost Hunters SciFy forums.

I've not seen any of those, television is rubbish and I can't imagine you're missing much.

If I didn't live with people who have one in our living room I wouldn't own one.

You know how people buzz about these shows like Dexter, True Blood, Glee, etc. Is it weird that I've never seen any of these shows? I haven't even seen anything like CSI or Lost either. It could be just that I'm in the UK or my age, but I've never thought to bother with them. Anyone else the same?

I don't particularly like any of these shows. I never watch them. As a matter of fact, I don't like TV all that much apart from The Office and Always Sunny.

What DO you watch on TV? I love Glee personally. I don't watch those other shows.

Well, I watch the occasional thing on Discovery or Nat Geo, but other than that not much. I love Crime and Investigation as well, I find that quite interesting. Can you watch MythBusters on Hulu/Netflix in the US?

I just checked Hulu and they only have links that direct to clips on the Discovery Channel. No full episodes legit on those sites either. I like watching Top Gear over in the UK though. It's just fun to watch people drive around with insanely expensive cars. I don't really value it much as a documentary though.

I don't watch any of those either. I watched a couple eps of Dexter but it didn't do anything for me... Networks never give shows time to grow anymore, either. "Persons Unknown" -- One of the best shows I've ever seen (along with LOST and Flashforward) only lasted for one season, Same with "Flashforward".

Another show that everyone talks about that I HAVE recently gotten in to is "Fringe".

I never watched Glee, Lost, House, or whatever shows people talked alot about
I watch one TV show per year. I mean if Im watching one TV show lets say HIMYM, I would watch it only and nothing else till the end of the seasons I got which takes a lot for me

I started Dexter because it was convenient to watch 3 seasons via Netflix and it was "all the rage". Now I'm hooked. True Blood, I watched that similar to how I watched Dexter, but somehow it seems if I miss it I don't mind; I can get that On Demand though if I want. Glee, it's like watching a car wreck, but I don't set out to watch that either. CSI, I never got on that bandwagon but I have seen a fair number due to the networks' love affair with running all things CSI and Law & Order rerun until Kingdom Come.

I don't think you're missing much if you don't watch these shows. Some are great and very interesting but no show, that I have seen myself, enriches my life. If I miss it or they cancel one I think I'd be bummed for about 10 minutes, then life would move on and more important things would take over.

I always find it interesting to hear other people's opinions. Thanks for replying, everyone :) It seems that there are quite a few other people similar to me from the TV show point of view :p

I'm one of those people who don't watch all these shows. Dexter, Glee, True Blood, 30 Rock, Mad Men, Modern Family, Gray's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Weeds, Cougar Town, Sons of Anarchy - I've never seen even a single minute of any of them.

Defunct shows I may be the only one never to have watched: The Sopranos, Baywatch, Ugly Betty, Ally McBeal, and I'm sure countless others.

I did watch Lost, I only recently (this past summer) started watching House, I started watching CSI: Miami within the past year (I don't care for the other two), and I watch Criminal Minds.

TV just isn't my thing, so much.

These are the same guys that saw Sex and the City 2 at the movies. It's because their wives/girlfriends have their jewels stuffed away in their purses. Truth can be a harsh mistress.

And I never said there was anything wrong with the show. But it's intended demographic is not for the straight male aged 18 to dead.

I watch Glee and the wife doesn’t. So much for that over-generalization.

Glee- Too much drama, too much love , too much crap, too much singing and too much obstacles.

Glee is a sad and annoying attempt at the realities od reality tv.

And therefore that is why I dislike Glee.

I don't have cable or satellite, I'm an antennae kind of guy. I watch almost none of these shows mentioned.

But I just discovered Dexter last week. The 1st season is available for streaming on Netflix. I had to see what the fuss was all about.

Dexter is awesome!

I'm not an overly-sensitive guy, but the first episode of Dexter I ever saw grossed me out, so I tuned out. And I lost my patience with Lost. I do agree about Persons Unknown and FlashForward, though.

I'm another one of those people who really only follows one show at a time. Right now it's The Event, which has gotten pretty good.

The fact that you don't catch all those other shows, though, simply means that you have a life. You can't possibly watch all the shows people say you "should" watch.

Yeah, that's what I'm watching now too. Looks like our tastes are almost 100% the same.

What kind of movies are you into? I like The Mist, The Moon, Day After Tomorrow, War of the Worlds, Sunshine, Apollo 13 - stuff like that.
