  • True file system: I see why people would want this, but what kind of files are you honestly emailing from a phone? Anyways any docs I want to send I just use dropbox/skydrive links...that's what I do on my Android as well
  • NFC, LTE: Not sure you can critize an OS for hardware...
  • Yes, as you pointed out, ability to access common settings quickly rather than laboriously go into the settings menu every time.: Yeah fair enough, something like Sb Settings would be awesome. I love this on my GSII, but I find it less essential on the iPhone...the radios don't kill the battery.- Widgets: Meh...to each their own.
  • True multitasking: I have no issues with Apple's implementation, advantages to both
  • Maps are missing quite a few features from what Google Maps offered.:Don't know, haven't used the new maps, but if you say so.
  • MicroSD card support (if not MicroSD, expandable storage). Not going to happen

There are things missing from both, Android works better for you. Congrats.

Ummm, you guys are all arguing about cell phones, you know that right? It's a silly little device that doesn't define you or your character, it's a fun gadget to have on you, but it's still just a phone. Jeez.

Odd coming from someone registered to a apple forum. This is what people here do, if you don't like it then your on the wrong kind of forum.

Its not odd, I am all for some good tech talk, whether it be apple, android, windows, anything, i love it all. But you all are bickering like little kids, it's quite silly. Cant you just enjoy what you have, and let others enjoy what they have? Seems silly to spend so much energy and time arguing when you're changing no ones mind....like i said, it's a phone

Anyways any docs I want to send I just use dropbox/skydrive links...that's what I do on my Android as well CVs (resumes) and other documents. I know you can do this from pages, but I don't want pages, I just want to store the content on my phone. There are workarounds for everything, but it'd be much better and easier if it just supported attachments in full!
  • NFC, LTE: Not sure you can critize an OS for hardware... Maybe not for LTE, but given that most of what makes NFC useful is on the software side, yes I can. An NFC chip does nothing without the software to make use of the tags!

I love this on my GSII, but I find it less essential on the iPhone...the radios don't kill the battery. True. Radios tend to be more power hungry in Android phones.. but that isn't really a valid reason for not including quick access, otherwise why include the option to disable those features at all?
  • Widgets: Meh...to each their own. Exactly. Even when implemented you don't HAVE to use them, but they're there if you want them.
  • True multitasking: I have no issues with Apple's implementation, advantages to both I don't really have any glaring problems with Apple's either, but things like IRC clients aren't possible because they can't stay connected when minimised.
  • Maps are missing quite a few features from what Google Maps offered.:Don't know, haven't used the new maps, but if you say so. They're missing walking directions, transit directions, indoor directions and street view.

Yes Android does work better for me, but I still like the iPhone. The iPad works better for me than Android tablets.

What people here fail to understand a lot of the time is that just because you criticise a device doesn't mean it's bad. It's okay to be a fan of a device but still criticise its' shortcomings. I do the same about Android.

I've said it time and time again but I'm not freaking here to be a troll. Just because I list shortcomings of the Apple device doesn't mean I'm here to bait or troll people. I don't have to say it's the best thing since sliced bread and there's absolutely no faults to be a fan.

I don't start any of these Android are better threads, that's other people. I simply respond with my own opinions about matters.

There are things I think the iPhone does better too (software updates and restores amongst other things), but I do think that Android is a more feature packed OS, and with Ice Cream Sandwich and the Galaxy S3, it's also very smooth. Whilst iOS is closing the gap with regards to features, Android is closing the gap with regards to smoothness and stableness.

I was disappointed too after watching the live blogs of WWDC, but there's so much that Apple didn't mention about iOS 6. It might lack in big new features, but there's tons of small changes that make iOS feel fresh.

Now that Steve Jobs is dead and Apple aficionados have no messiah to bask in the glow of, some of the reality distortion field has been neutralized and people are beginning to wake up from their Apple coma and realize that Apple is PURPOSELY rationing out features to get people to continue to upgrade.

This is the year that Apple will start to see a tumble unless Apple finally realizes it needs to stop treating its customers like children and roll out an OS that doesn't insult our intelligence.

I always thought Jobs was full of himself, but I liked the guy for being a no-nonsense, in your face, pedal to the metal leader/genius. With him gone I can't help to feel that Apple will get a little lax and not take the chances that Jobs did. If he wanted a device built in 1 year and the devs said it would take 2 years, he would counter back "I need it done in 6 months." Sad to see him gone now. He fought for the consumer instead of execs.

It is mostly Android trolls. And they have come out in droves, hence the appearance of "so much negativity". After all, they see Apple removing the last obstacles (and their primary arguments) for those jumping off the Android wagon.

The number one fAndroid retort: "Google Navigation" Apple has taken care of that "but" nicely. Not surprised to see them foaming.

Yeah, maps turned out just great

hahahaha

You need to stop interpreting Cricical apple comments as troll comments and just accept lots of people (a whopping 45% on the poll) don't like what they see with ios 6.

I have a galaxy note and boy is it swell, I also have an iPad 3 but feel let down with ios 6

LOL! That is all
