I'm trying to make a webpage in iWeb. All's going well so far. Small question though, with the reflection effect with some themes it's creating a huge image. The image on my welcome page is a 330kb .png, that's huge for dialup users and people with only 5MB hosting space. Are there anyways to shrink it a bit?

move the image to a jpeg and change the quality to medium should not loose to much detail for the web and it will be much much smaller. I put all my images into jpeg then import them into iWeb, so when iWeb converts them to .png they are so much smaller, my largest image is 128KB, most are around 40-45Kb

I'll ask my questions while this thread is hot. I had my site, www.aaronapter.com, designed for me a year and a half ago. I haven't updated it because it is all in flash and I know jack about web design. I don't care so much about losing the fancy transitions on my page and I just want something that still looks hip but simple for me to update. Of course I want the same address and not a .mac address. Would someone take a look at my site and tell me if I could create a page with the same type of material using iweb? Thanks.

Simply put, yes, iWeb can make a site similar to this for you. You will, of course, lose your fancy transitions and such, but it will be much easier for you to use and update. And, as has been mentioned a fair amount, it does NOT require you to have a .mac account.

Can iWeb create a site with more then one photo page without displaying 'Photo' and 'Photo 2' on the top nav bar?

I'd like to have a simple '1 | 2' link, but I can't seem to create the '2' page without having it linked at the top.

You can change the name of a page on the sidebar and you can choose whether to have that page displayed in the navigation bar at the top by un-ticking a box in the Page section of the Inspector. :)

I'm not sure if that's what you're after.
