A little off topic, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if OS X 10.5 was released on Monday to beat Microsoft to the door.

It would suprise me.

Leopard is no where near finished, plus I'm not sure when vista comes out, but it would make sense for apple to release leopard after vista comes out so they get the attention after vista's attention span has died down (a bit).

Vista comes out at the end of this month. As for Leopard not being ready how can you be sure? (And I don't mean to sound snide... I'm just curious.)

Goof or just plain wrong?

Was it a goof or just plain wrong? At this moment, there is still no indication that either will be released- both were summarily ignored during the keynote...

We have to assume they are coming soon, but I also see the very real possibility that they are waiting till they launch leopard so that they will be 64 bit programs and take full advantage of Leopard.

most apple computers out are on either a G4 or CD. if such basic things as iLife and iWork require a 64-bit cpu, I'd be extremely pissed!

Just because an app can take advantage of a 64 bit processor doesn't mean it won't be compatible with 32 bit processors.

whether its on amazon or not they aren't going to know when the software is released until the day before so don't count on the amazon links telling you when the stuff is coming out

 don't worry im impatient to and i want it released now

you do know that Vista is gonna get more attention worldwide than Leopard, right? OS X is nothing compare to Windows in terms of usage, both legally and illegally.

only the selective Mac community are extra excited about the release of leopard. it's not gonna steal Vista's "thunder"

but i do like the amazon's leopard page, esp the following sections:
