i used to have pangu JB on 9.0.3, then updated to 11.3.1. Now when I perform updates in Cydia, it always try to remove Pangu JB but unsuccessfully. Is there any other way to remove pangu? thanks!

You can either remove Cydia Substrate which will remove all tweaks and may remove Panju or to do a fresh restore to 11.3.1 using some semi restore tool and jailbreak again using Electra.

Good news. And the developer team (Electra) who released this jb also have exploits that may lead to jailbreak on iOS 12.x as well. I’m going to try tomorrow on 11.3.1 after I read some reddit posts from new Electra user reactions first.

Thanks.. but I could not install OpenSSH, or anything from Cydia since it keeps trying to remove Pangu.

Has anyone successfully done this yet? All I’ve read is everyone who has has been sent into a bootloop. I’m not trying this until I know it’s safe.

if you are coming from pangu, chances are you wont JB successfully. Electra 1131 works and successfully jb my Ipad air 2. But since i had pangu (9.0.3) and updated to 11.3.1 without knowing Pangu is still sticking, the newly installed Cydia will not work... and i'm in the midst of going to 11.4 :(

Go to tweakbox and download the multi patch version not the vfs one. It’s the dev account one but you don’t need to pay anything. Tweakbox shares there dev account with everyone.

Thanks but since the ipad bootloops due failed attempt in removing cydia, i have already installed 11.4 :(

Ignition 'dot' fun (cant post URL, since it uses a cert but pretty sure I can describe the URL.. not sure... but if it isn't allowed- check coolstarorg's twitter where he @ mentions ignition and asks if they can host the dev version) grab the MP version (below VFS version)... its dev version

accept the cert, run Electra in airplane mode, install Filza, and add '127.0.0.1 ocsp.apple.com' in etc/hosts file to prevent Apple's foolery

No computer needed!

Edit- typo the hosts file entry is ‘ocsp’ auto correct was changing it

Sweet!

I love that nonce is built into the jb app

In no real rush to update. So far this 1.0 mp running like a boss

It’s interesting 1.0 has icon on my iPad Pro. Probably cause that was coolstar’s test device (blobs and restore-ability / x future restore breaks Face ID )

I dunno how long I fun box Cert is but ignition is legit 364 days haha

Slap that hosts thing on there and you’re good to go on a stable (imo) iOS version and a rock solid jb w good rate of success injecting. Has only taken a 2nd try a couple times out of a few rotations of trying to re jb across three devices

I wasn't having any success on my 7+ 11.3.1 until I did a "Erase all content and settings" and then ran it. Worked first or second try.

If I used my own account initially, can I delete the electra app and then get the ignition cert and have it work for a year?

I have a feeling this jb has Been rigorously tested on clean install iOS since the test device was future restored often, iPad Pro.

Coupled with an unreliable exploit (VFS) as far as I’ve read, I could see it being problematic

...

Don’t quote me but yes I believe so. I think the dev and non dev can be used interchangeable. But dev has specific ways to sideload with a profile
Provision or stuff like mentioned from sites.

Non dev can probably be sideloaded w impactor 7 day or dev accounts. Just less reliable exploits

So I did some testing and this is my initial findings. I did the initial jailbreak with the VFS version and then I installed the MPS version and it kept having the "exploit" error. I went back to the VFS version and it seems to be jailbreaking properly. Since the 2 versions use different exploits, they are probably not interchangeable.
Having said that, I borrowed my buddies dev account and used it to sign the .ipa for the VFS version so I won't have to keep re-signing it every couple weeks.

That’s a good happy middle ground!

Interesting thanks for the run down.

I have ZERO experience with the VFS one.Just been reading up on it on reddit

Extra_recipe kinda drove me nuts (the full jailbreak for 10.1 on 7) with its unreliability of exploits

Mach portal was much better. Hopefully VFS isnt that bad for the average person

A jailbreak is still a jailbreak tho, especially if you dont reboot that often or let your phone die

I let my 10.2 7 day cert run up all the time but dont have to re-sign or re-jb for like months because i try to hook it to the charger well before its dead. Same with an older iPad Pro

Stay away from Activator! I had 11.3.1 with Electra clean and stable for a couple of hours and ended up in a boot loop after loading Activator. Had to re-run Electra in Tweaks=Off mode to uninstall with Cydia. But Cydia works, and the trusted repos / tweaks list I'm going by have proven to work well so far. The poor success rate of remount is a little annoying but really what is 20 minutes of persistent re-trys for my iPhone to behave the way I want my iPhone to behave.
