    its good news that it can be done, but unfortunately almost all of the apps arent even updated for 4.2 yet, so its a bit pointless right now.

    People just want the Jailbreak as soon as possible thats why i dont consider it point less :) But you are also right :)

    Could do this... then change the plist file to make your OS think its running 4.1. Things should install and work fine then, but again... risky.

    And those people don't matter. They are the first to flood forums with all their whining about apps that no longer work or that they lost their unlock because they are stupid, impatient, and don't think things through. An overwhelming amount of support has to then be directed to these people. Just what newbies needed, yet another blog with risky instructions on jailbreaking beta software.

    i'm pretty sure cydia is not updated for 4.2... correct me if i'm wrong

    I agree.
    Why bother with a JB that you cannot do anything with yet?
    Advising people to JB an unreleased GM where not even cydia will install is pointless IMO.
