That the jb app developers produce products that offend your personal sense of a properly documented product is irrelevant. Since there's clearly insufficient documentation to meet your needs, either live with it, write your own or go back to a stock phone. Alternatively, you could always write a review about it.

Alternatively, you can offer help to the OP or move on to another thread.

this is irritating to me because i was once green to jailbreaking. what did i do?
1. googled: "top cydia apps"
2. googled: "bite sms"
3. youtubed: "how to install bite sms"

if you have enough savvy to jailbreak, you should have enough savvy to customise your phone without being spoonfed.

OP, let me help you. tell me what you want your phone to do and i will google you a description and how to install

Congratulations do you want a medal? If it's so irritating, why did you bother posting?

i'll bite. what specific question does the OP (or yourself, for that matter) have? i am willing to help. i have my spoon ready

We all started somewhere I'm sure you needed help once
The point of forums is to give a helping hand where you can.

What's the point in posting to poke fun? It's helping nobody.

I did help him by telling him there is no good documentation. That was the only question the OP asked before he went off on his personal history lesson. Yawn. He doesn't want to listen because he wrote documentation and did reviews in the 80s. when he gets his head handed to him, he resorts to insults. jb isn't for people who lack even minimal technical skills or even understand what a fanboy is.

Oh, I did a bit more than just write documentation...but, that's neither here nor there, fanboy.

help is given when specific questions are posted. not "now what"?. look at the original post again and see if you can provide a helpful response. this thread should have been locked after the 2nd post.

to the OP, perhaps you will be better served by creating another thread with a more specific query

Despite my trepidations, I successfully "jailbroke" my 4S without any issues that I've seen.

Now, is there any sort of "manual" or guide to finding, evaluating, installing and using apps to run under Cydia? Virtually everything I've seen assumes the reader already knows what to do and how to do it. Well, I don't.

Where do I, for example, find SBSettings? How do I download and install it? Is there a guide to using it? And that's just for one app.

Guidance, please.

n/m.. edit i'll stay out of this discussion.
