Jailbroken 3GS 4.0.1 location services problem

recently bought an Iphone 3GS and have all my internet and mms settings configured but for some reason when I go to open the maps application or the previous used had TOMTOM installed on it, Iphone would prompt me to turn on my location services and right after i turn on location services it takes me to the home screen and nothing happens. I return to maps and nothing has changed it asks me to do the same. Any help?
 
It's a software bug. Try uninstalling any conflicting apps to see if you can get Settings working again. Else, you can always restore.
