Similar light and interesting in the way he portrays the light. It's hard to see from the photo, but I saw it in Amsterdam (blimey, very nearly 10 years ago) at the Rijksmuseum and was blown away by the way he'd painted bits of it. The curls in his hair that catch the light are scratched into light paint, and it's just awesome. If you ever get a chance to see it in person, totally take it.
