OO sounds cool, shame the latest version of Quicksilver is for tiger only

Sorry if it sounds stupid, but what is Quicksilver (I can tell is a software) what does it do? where can I get it? :p

I got my iTunes Artwork screensaver running in the background on my desktop as January's desktop wallpaper.

It's cool, but a little bit hard to read my icons. I use Finder to navigate my desktop, now.

I'm a fan of Jan Vermeer's works...

Heh, me too! Great light, and love the simplicity. Nice to see it as a desktop. If you like that, you may also like this Rembrandt self portrait. Similar light and interesting in the way he portrays the light. It's hard to see from the photo, but I saw it in Amsterdam (blimey, very nearly 10 years ago  ) at the Rijksmuseum and was blown away by the way he'd painted bits of it. The curls in his hair that catch the light are scratched into light paint, and it's just awesome. If you ever get a chance to see it in person, totally take it.

edit: the smiley was all over the shop

No problem! there's a bunch of other sort of tie design based wallpapers by the same guy on deviantart. I'll be rotating those for a while.

That's really amazing looking! I love how the face is in such shadow, but how it's contrasted by the light illuminating the hair.

Can you link me to that guy's stuff? The wallpaper was shown, but the author and his page was not linked to :(

Edit: Found it :-D

Nice stuff, I love the little Apple tag on all of it
