I was under the impression JCP went under a decade ago? Guess not.
I remember trying to pay for my sandwich at Subway with Apple Pay and the person behind the counter didn't know what to do. I said just treat it like a credit card transaction and if it doesn't work I just use the actual credit card. It worked like a charm using Apple Pay.I am wonder where all the people saying that live? While the county I live in has lost a few stores over the years, there are still locations that I drive around ast all the time.
And go to. In fact, I just shopped there on Saturday and used Apple Pay. Poor cashier was so confused. He didn’t know how to even deal with that. He had to go get help. It would seem they do not train their cashiers much. But at least they greet you with a friendly welcome when you come into the store. And they had some awesome deals this weeked too. I saved over $50. So did my husband. Got some much needed shorts since we are both getting too damn fat for the ones we wore last summer. It was a rough winter...lol.
"Popular"???
Perhaps in the 1970s and 1980s.
It is good they are adding it back in, not that I can recall the last time I was inside a JCP store.
We were in Europe for a few weeks back in May and pretty much everywhere supported Apple Pay, with only two exceptions: someplace in Spain and one place said that you were limited to 30 GBP using Apple Pay which was crazy.
I do that all the time here in Mexico. Here it’s worse because, besides apple pay not being officially available in the country, cashiers are often usually also unfamiliar with contactless payment. Nonetheless, it works like a charm and I’m glad to be one of the extremely few people who didn’t have to wait until Apple and/or the banks decide to bring Apple Pay to Mexico and could use it from day one anyway (though, judging by Apple’s rhetoric, it seems they’d prefer that people not use Apple Pay outside the countries where they have officially launched it).I remember trying to pay for my sandwich at Subway with Apple Pay and the person behind the counter didn't know what to do.
